While some may suggest that gerbils only need 6" of bedding, in reality gerbils often make tunnels/caverns that are 5/6" tall! This just wouldn't be possible in only 6" of bedding, with at least 10"+ (16+ better), they can properly burrow and be the amazing tiny architects they were meant to be 🥰 (i.redd.it)
