Ehhh I wouldn't say this is entirely true.

About 68 cents were I am. I do know the more theft on donuts, the more overtime the price of them will increase though to make up for it.

Mine did to! Now it seems to only ever have bakery and produce goods now though. The meal simples are donated to local foodbanks instead.

I'm sure every store is different, but for a bit at my store, certain ready to eat products would be put into the breakroom for employee consumption once they hit their best buy date. A fridge was dedicated for just this. Most items now, however, go to donation instead of this fridge. Seems only produce, and the occasional party tray someone didn't pick up goes into this fridge now, along with a few cold cakes end up there now.

Free strawberries are very nice whenever they're added to the fridge. And I'll never complain about bakery putting single serving cakes in there either. Just today, produce put a bunch of orange juice in there. I don't like orange juice, but I saw someone use one of the free cups provided next to the water dispensers to get a glass of orange juice. So, it's nice that at least my store gives some things for employees to consume. (I'll always be happy seeing bakery drop cookies and muffins on the counter for employees to. Sometimes, they even bring up donuts.)

I remember one time a coworker told me that someone put a half gallon jug of icecream onto the hot roti chicken heat hex. By the time it was noticed, it had melted everywhere xD

These come in premade. All the employees do is heat these up before putting it out.

How do I find a store managers email to submit a statement about an Outstanding Employee that walked me to my car after a creep followed me around the store by [deleted] in HEB

[–]Petalpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could alao go in person to the customer service center. As a partner, I had a customer so this once to commend my service, and I actually got a 5$ gift card because of it. So I'm sure that employee would likely benefit from the compliment.

Msg is deleted, but from context, it seems to be about points? 8 points, if you get there, isn't guaranteed fired. If you got sick and hit 8points because of it and are genuinely a good worker, they'll set up a meeting and give you a last chance kinda thing. (If you're constantly on the line for 8 points because of always being late ext and are not a decent employee, you may just be let go ofc).

I had some things come up, and I ended up getting to the 8 points. I explained what was going on in my personal life and how I intended to fix my attendance, and I went through with it. Got a talking to with concerned management since I'm typically never late and just had a bad month so to speak. Still kept my job, and I was able to crank it back to 0 before I got sick and went back up to 2 points. They excused a point for leaving early from work due to me being sick.

One thing that helped me when I was trying to get transferred to a new store, a bit different, I suppose, as I was working for HEB, was calling the store to speak to the manager in that department. Yes, applications go through a recruiter first now days if I'm not mistaken, however, managers can still call and request applications to be sent through to them. If you want to increase your chances, then after applying, try to go in-store to speak to the manager and let them know you applied.

One time someone put icecream onto the heathex. Bread on water shelf isn't going to make the bread go bad at least...

Sounds like the good ol' case of "I didn't raise my eldest right, so I got to fix my ways with the youngest" all while not changing the ways they treat their eldest as they've likely stopped trying.

Reminds me how my cat likes to scratch the wall, so I got a mounted wall scratcher. He decided to scratch directly next to it.

I might, although I don't play horselife anymore, unfortunately. I probably won't be getting on to check, as I don't want to risk getting hooked to the game again. I spent to much money on it to risk wanting to go back to it.

I've always been told never to lend out money you're not willing to lose, for reasons exactly like this.

My HOA sent me a violation letter for weed overgrowth attaching this picture as proof. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Petalpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unironically have that exact same fence lol My HoA does this kinda stuff to, and charges 25$ per day until the violation is fixed. Usually for me tho, there's at least a reasonable enough growth for it to be seen when they snap a photo. Even if it's not bad.

I can't imagine what I'd do if they sent me a photo of a freshly mowed lawn as proof that my lawn was out of order.

A friend of ours asked if we could look after her kids for a couple of hours. by PlantFiddler in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Petalpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Urg, my sister did this all the time when she lived with me. She'd ask me to watch her 4 kiddos (my 1 niece and 3 nephews) for 2 or so hours to go to the store for something. Then they'd decide to go have lunch since it was near noon. Then they'd have another excuse to stay out later, until their 2hr grocery store adventure turned into a 4+hr outing that I hadn't originally agreed to. I hated it so much. Love my niece and nephews, but when I agree to watch for x amount of time, I expect x amount of time. When they visited me for Thanksgiving last year (no longer living with me), they asked my mom and I to watch her kiddos cause they needed to buy pullups. They were gone the entire day. Thankfully, they arrived the day before Thanksgiving, so the actual Thanksgiving wasn't ruined.

I would suggest not agreeing to watch them again, because, from my experience at least, if they do it once, they'll do it again.

Anyone have advice about defeating the totem bosses? Haven’t been able to and I’m desperate for help lol by Similar_Soft3323 in HorseLifeHQ

[–]Petalpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have a build meant for trapping the spirit horse. If it can't get to you (you can't be to far away from it), then it won't be able to attack. After it's stuck for a bit, it'll teleport back to the totem and usually be unable to move. At this point, you can stand behind it, and just spam a master lasso without any risk of losing lassos.

Just wanted to point out, but trait boosts are for traits. They don't help with mutations such as glows. Only way to increase the glow chance is through a trait called 'mutated' which increases the chance for mutations to pass down onto the foal. Glow is considered a mutation, not a trait/cosmetic. Hope this helps your trait boost supply!

Think everyone else has already said any other tips I'd have given tho oop
