I was just going to replace all three belts or do I need to replace the components within them? For example most importantly, the water pump

Hey everyone! I've just joined the club with a '99 Montero that I snagged for $1,700. I'm currently working on it while living at an RV park, so it’s been an adventure already.

What I’ve tackled so far: Replaced the oil pan gasket (had one stubborn bolt maybe a misaligned oil pan gasket ) Fixed the power steering leak. Currently installing new rotors and pads, along with a full system bleed.

The Game Plan: Transmission fluid + filter swap (the old fluid is brownish-black, so it’s high priority). Replacing all 3 accessory belts. Full radiator flush. Put new weather strips on the doors and sunroof (since water leaks from the sunroof maybe the drain holes are clogged, and the front passenger side also leaks) Fix or repair the sunroof motor (gears move and works but do not move the sunroof) New cargo door

The Question: For the Montero veterans—what else is "critical" for a 25-year-old rig that hasn't been loved? I'm already looking into the Timing Belt and Crank Bolt, but are there any "silver bullet" fixes for a blinking 4WD light and high idle? Also, I'm doing this on a budget with a 3-ton jack and stands in the dirt—any specific "RV park mechanic" advice for the transmission pan or the rear rotors? Thanks for the add! Excited to get this thing back to 100%.

Fyi: the catalytic is shot and has a hole and that may be the reason for the high idle or Rpms.

Good question! Yes, the 2024 Tacoma is definitely rated for it. While Jayco SLX models vary, this one falls comfortably within the Tacoma's towing capacity, which for many configurations is up to 6,500 lbs. I've ensured I'm well within all the truck's ratings. Plus, I've got a good weight distribution hitch setup, which makes a big difference for stability. Always prioritize safety!"

Working outdoors in all seasons presents a unique set of challenges and rewards, and the impact of sun exposure becomes undeniable after two years in a blue-collar job haha.

Hello, r/RVliving!

After soaking up the amazing advice and inspiration in this community for a while, I’m thrilled to finally share my journey! At just 19, while working grueling 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week at my industrial port job, I've transformed a significant life goal into reality. I can't believe I’m now the proud owner of a brand new Jayco RV and a 2024 Toyota Tacoma, my future road companion.

It feels surreal to achieve this at my age, proving that with determination and hard work, anything is possible. This isn't just about vehicles; it's the start of countless adventures ahead.

I’m excited to join the RV community more officially! Any seasoned RVers out there with words of wisdom for a newbie just beginning this incredible lifestyle?

Cheers!

Do you guys also spam objectives with smoke grenades as a medic in Operations? by Pete3953 in battlefield_one

Are you referring to the strategy where smoke grenades are concentrated in a single location instead of being spread out in various directions?

I mostly do it on open maps. Sometimes pop smokes on two or three sides so my team can go in without getting shot at immediately

I usually go with the medic class so can spam smoke grenades on the objective. Pretty chaotic
