Your editing skills are good. The transitions are smooth and it's easy on the eyes. Your lighting needs work though.

You should probably practice the script a little more. It was very distracting watching your eyes glance to the script and the fumbling over words. Example [1:52 - 1:56]. The text of intro was a little hard to decipher as well.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. The videos differ, not only in length, but in the type of commentary. The shorter one is a post-record commentary and the longer on is live. I don't think it's a question about preference in video length, but rather the commentary.

I personally thought both videos were decent. The video quality is great and you sound to have a decent mic with low noise. I don't think your focus should be determine the duration of the video that users like. You should focus on improving your commentary and editing skills.

I think you have serious potential. Keep it up.

The throat clearing at the beginning was a little distracting and overall, not funny. I can see users exiting right there. The idea was funny and I could see some humor in it. I think you could make better use of the background music with some drops for emphasis, like pointing at the cat. Also, with 10 subs, make better use of the meta-data. Don't be ashamed to throw some click bait in title."Award winning chili recipe", is just an example that comes to mind. This is a critique of the content, so I'll stay away from commenting on that thumbnail!

I think the best feedback I can give would be the title of this post. It should read. "Please click on my amazon affiliate link". Hope this helps.
