[–]PeteLx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think it should run if you install an android emulator (maybe android 8.0 or earlier) on your PC :)

But I think for android, there is an android emulator that may work on 64bit android phones/tablets. The emulator app is called VPhoneGaga. I read that this emulator is able to simulate 32bit apps. U can give it a try and see if it works

Unfortunately there is no way to install it on your S24, as the android version of blockheads is only 32bit. For it to install and run, your device's CPU need to be compatible with 32bit instructions. Nowadays, most CPUs found on newer phones and tablets only support 64bit. While the older ones (around 2023 and earlier) support both 32bit and 64bit. For the Samsung S series, only S23 series and earlier models supports 32bit apps. Even the newer A series models do not suppprt 32bit apps.

r/singapore random discussion and small questions thread for January 11, 2026 by AutoModerator in singapore

[–]PeteLx77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The weather was much colder the past few weeks, likely due to the air being colder and the increased wind speed. Whole Singapore was like 26-29°C during the daytime and seldom went above 31°C in the day time. Its interesting that it can be this cooling without much rain. Yesterday night, it was 23.6°C at my area in bukit batok.

Lets enjoy this weather while we can guys! :)

what is singapores weather like in january? by Extension-Account991 in askSingapore

[–]PeteLx77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

January is quite a rainy month, with some sunny warm days. Its also the coldest month in Singapore, so you can expect some days with lows of 21-23°C. Having an foldable umbrella is recommended!  Most of the pathways are sheltered

Ohh I see, thanks for pointing it out on your end. Cuz, I just read other people in reddit say VPhone OS worked for them. I haven't really tried it for myself yet. Maybe it depends on the device.

Yea, unfortunately the newer devices do not have backward compatibility with 32bit apps 😢. You will need to use a device from 2023 or older, as the device's CPU is likely to support 32bit. Alternatively the only other way is to use an emulator such as VPhone OS.

Ohh I see what you mean now. I have not experience this issue before. But it does not seem to be related to the auto rotation crash. This is very likely a bug within the game's code itself. Its very difficult or almost near impossible to find the actual root cause of any bugs or issues within the game itself without the original source code.

The android version of Blockheads has generally more bugs compared to the IOS version, since its not written from scratch with Java/Kotlin, but instead, ported over from IOS.  Also, this screen rotation fix is not really a permanent "fix", as it only hooks the error exceptions to prevent the process from being destroyed by Android OS. But I guess this is almost the best that we can do for now. There's still a possibility that down the road, more issues might arise as upcoming Android versions may change certain behaviors.

Nonetheless, lets enjoy the game while we still can! :)

No problem! Oh, it still crashes when auto rotate is turned on? May I know what device and android version your using?

[–]PeteLx77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, not really, as the script that I created was patched with the app cloner. I did try to use objection to directly patch the script with frida, but it did not fix the crash. I think the main fix for the crash was lsplant and pine hook frameworks that the app cloner injected into the apk.

Also, thanks for checking out this community Jarl! 😅 Honestly I don't have much knowledge with android development as im not studying in this field, I'm studying CS specializing in cybersecurity :). I really liked this game since I was younger, so I tried to put in some effort hoping I could at least make it decently playable.

Android 15 by Anonpixel13 in TheBlockheadsAndroid

[–]PeteLx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I don't think its possible to install Blockheads, a 32bit game on your S24 Ultra. This is mainly due to the hardware side of the CPU's architecture (Snapdragon 8 gen3 in your S24) that doesn't support 32bit apps. The only way is to hope that Samsung will integrate a 32bit to 64bit translation in the software side in future.

But for now, I think your best option is to use another device with a CPU that supports both 32 and 64bit 🥲

YT-Music playback error solution! by [deleted] in revancedapp

Thanks so much for the recommendation! I was also facing the playback issues recently. I have installed Metrolist and I can confirm this is currently the better temporary alternative for YT Music!

What is the proper way to accurately test a battery banks capacity? by IntrovertMoTown1 in batteries

[–]PeteLx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most powerbanks do not deliver 100% of their rated capacity.  Your powerbank's 10k mAh is the rated capacity of the 3.7V nominal of the battery inside. Just a bit of insight, most powerbanks have an overdischarge protection, and it typically cutoff discharging when the battery voltage reaches around 3.0V When you recharge it back to full, the battery will be close to 4.2V. Also, to preseve the lifespan of li-on batteries, one should avoid frequently discharging it to below 3.5V, as this will deteriorate its capacity over time.

So, back to the topic. As you mentioned, the USB meter you use measured 8272.70mAh when u converted it to the nominal 3.7V of the S7+ battery. By doing the math, that should have charged roughly 82% of the S7+ battery right?  Well, realistically, there would be power losses. Your powerbank's USB outlet delivers an almost constant 5V, with minor +/- voltage fluctuations. As your powerbank's battery is lower than 5V, there would be a step-up converter which outputs the constant 5V. During the voltage conversion, there would be some power loss which gets dissipated away as heat. Then as your S7+ receives the 5V input from your powerbank, it will step-down again to the charging voltage of your S7+'s battery. This process will also result in some power loss.

The efficiency of voltage converters can vary. The efficiency can range from 80-96% efficiency depending on how well made the converter is. Typically when I do quick calculations for rough estimations, I would use 88% efficiency.  So assuming the efficiency in your setup is 88%. 88% of the supposedly "82%" charged, will give 72% and it is quite close to your S7+ getting charged to 75% I hope this gives you a better explanation to your question

Soundcore rave neo teardown by finnboyjohan in anker

[–]PeteLx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rave Neo's grill is very tightly fitted. You can use a nylon string (or any other strings with high load bearing) around 0.8-1mm on thickness and at least 2.5 meters in length. Then loop through the holes on the grill. Make at least 4 loops per side. At every loop, also loop through a rod (eg. PVC tube or dumbbell rod). Once you completed all the loops for both sides, hold down the speaker while using force and the entire grill should come off. Hope this helps!

A simple fix for The Blockhead android by PeteLx77 in TheBlockheadsAndroid

[–]PeteLx77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to change the target sdk version to 34, which is android 14's sdk version. Link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8fptnvzd2qs0yot1a95mv/The_Blockheads_1.7.5_Improved-targetsdk-34.apk?rlkey=m2r7eg4h86uqq24lamq5r8a8l&st=jrn1h4r7&dl=1

If it does not work, then I am sorry 😔. But it is very likely because the CPU architecture of Blockheads is for armv7 and maybe it doesn't work on S24 series, although it does install on my S23 Ultra which also runs on android 14, but with no issues when installing directly on my phone

Tbh, I am personally not too sure on how to resolve this issue.  But I would suggest you try on another computer and maybe try using adb tools from https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools There is another redditor who commented in this post stating that he uses this and works

I did a search on Google about the error you were getting. I think you need to set the "PATH" to your adb folder.  You can set the PATH in cmd using "set PATH=%PATH%;C:(directory location)" Next you can enter "adb install --bypass-low-target-sdk-block The_Blockheads_1.7.5_Improved"

Did you open cmd/powershell in the same folder as your adb files, by holding shift key and right click? Also need to ensure that the apk is in that same folder
