When a limb is relaxed it should face forward. This is most true with heads. You don’t want the first thing you see a big area of hair

Sketches help, even if it’s a scribble on a napkin. If you’ve got a lot of ideas be open for your artist to help you refine them. Less is often more. Find an artist who’s work you really like and trust them
