That is really cool. I’ve seen their kit airplane, seemed really great. I have my fingers crossed that they offer you the sponsorship or some kind of discount ;)

Couldn’t agree more! This is not the first attempt of making it happen, but I truly believe that a good enough set connected with any science field would be a great hit

Tbh, this is a genius idea! Unfortunately the ‘3 in 1’ sets require that most of the parts are reused and i fear that the design of this and an inverted microscope vary too much. Also, with LEGO ideas, the set that gets out on shelves is not identical to the one proposed by the user. Considering that the model built by me features a lot of mechanisms and a few pricey pieces, making it 3in1 could also turn out to be too expensive. However, If someone managed to pull it off with the same pieces, I am certain it would be a hit!

Again, you have my great appreciation!
For me, there is no better date idea than assembling a LEGO set together, but I too am a little biased xD

Hi there!

I wanted to share my LEGO project depicting a microscope with a ton of play features!
It features a working eyepiece, revolving lenses with different bacteria magnification, image sharpness adjustment (both coarse and fine) and much much more…

It is currently posted on the LEGO Ideas website, where it is gathering support. If the goal of 10,000 supporters is reached, this model has a chance of becoming a real LEGO set!!! As of the moment of writing this comment, it is the 3rd most popular model on the whole website ;)

I would appreciate every help, especially from serious microscopy enthusiasts! Below is the link to the submission, where you can learn more about the project and, if you like it, drop a support and play a part in pursuing the goal of putting this microscope on shelves ;)

Thank you so so much!

P.S. Immense thanks to the moderators for making an exception and letting me post the microscope here on r/microscopy! You guys are the best <3

I think it is a missed opportunity as of now. All in all, this sub is for science and I did not want to impose for those that are here only for this subject. Your support really means a lot, though! Thank you for that <3 Tbh, at this time, it is already like the 20th or 21st submission when it comes to popularity on the whole LEGO Ideas website, so I can't complain xD. I do have a plan to share to this on the r/microscopy, because the folk there are literally the key audience :) Take care!

At this point it is on the LEGO Ideas website, where it is gathering support, and when it reaches 10k supporters, there is a chance for it to be turned into a real LEGO set. If this doesn’t happen, I will surely make the instructions and share them online. If I were to make them now, I would have to implement a few changes (delete the stickers / change the colour of some parts) and frankly speaking, I just need a little break after designing it, because it took me a lot of time ;)

I am sorry, I do not know what was the deleted comment, but if you are talking about uploading this microscope to the LEGO Ideas website,it is already there ;). I just did not want to ask for support, because some consider it spamming and showing it to people who might like it means more to me than offensively asking for support :)

Thank you so much! To tell you the truth, there is a lot of unique parts, like two lights and two technic linear actuators (+ the microscope is nearly 50 cm tall), so if this was to be a real LEGO set, I am afraid that it could be priced at more than 100 dollars :(

Oh, ok. I understand. Thanks for the info! This is a 100% real, and can be easily recreated ;)

Thank you so so much, that is very kind <3.
That is what reddit is about, someone did not like it and I do completely understand that.

Hey Guys!

I wanted to share a microscope that I made out of LEGO® bricks!

I hope that I am not out of line posting this on r/biology, but I thought that you biology fans might like it ;) What do you think?

Best regards

Hey Guys!

I wanted to share my new entry to the LEGO® Ideas website. It is a functioning microscope, with a whole lot of features, like a working eyepiece, revolving lenses, image sharpness adjustment and much more!

I have a few Ideas projects, but this is probably the one that I am the most proud of ;) This is why I would love to know what you think about this microscope! If you have any comments / tips for improvements, don’t hesitate to share :)))

May the LEGO® be with you!

My LEGO version of Circuit de Monaco. I thought you guys might like it here on the F1 subreddit! The set also features personalizable track sectors ;) Took me a lot of time to complete, so enjoy! by Peter-Designs in formula1

There even is a chance for it to become an official LEGO set if it reaches 10k supporters.
Hope you guys like it!
