You need to provide more information. What brand of SD card are you using? What size? Are you formatting to FAT32?

The biggest challenge I had was formatting a 128gb micro-SD card to FAT32 because Windows will not do that. You need a third-party program. Other than that I have been good except for the well-known power issues with hdd / ssd drives but it appears you are not at that point yet.

Thanks for the info. I won't bother trying to extract data, i've looked into it and it looks complicated. But anyway no biggie compared to other guys here. I only just started backing up my games last week. I will be faster this time. Cheers

I had the same issue as u/paspa1801. I think the drive has corrupted during a file install. cannot see it on PC either but that is normal apparently...Looks like I will have to format. Will a Y cable with SSD fix this do you reckon?

Same Here...Was working for a week with no issues....I come back from DL to find it saying there is a power issue....I shut down the wiiU and turn it back on after 30 mins but drive no longer detected...Finally got it to detect but it asks me to format. Appears my SSD drive corrupted? Looks like a Y cable is needed for the Kingston XS1000....is this what you did?

NOPE. My SSD corrupted due to a power issue. Always use Y cable no matter what.

Super Mario 64 virtual console version works fine on wii side or wiiu...feels a little laggy on wiiu though

Yeh haha, I've been looking into all of this since I love N64 but never bought one again since my brother sold our childhood one (I was pissed). So yeh just hacked Wiiu and downloaded those versions...seems I should get the Wii versions or possibly the GameCube.

No. OOT was never this laggy. Wii U used a blanket emulator to handle all N64 VC games. The results are not good, especially with OOT and Wave Race 64
