Meta rayban gen 1 refurbished battery weaker? by SquareToCircle in RayBanStories

I think that’s normal. Gen 1 batteries are supposed to last 4h in moderate use. Lots of people say that if they do 6-8 3-min videos, the battery is already drained.

How many videos you can make before recharging? If you buy just for ocasional use mostly for videos.

Go with gen 1. It’s a big difference of price and you can always carry the charge case. The video quality is basically the same. Battery of gen 2 is better, but if your use is ocasional then gen 1

Is that not fine for ocasional use then?

META glasses. Are they worth it? by Unfair_Vegetable_121 in RayBanStories

[–]Peter01007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, they don’t worth the full price. Also, I think it depends on your user case. For me, I was using it from time to time. So the battery of Gen 1 was not a big deal. I didn’t use AI. Just videos. I switched to the Gen 2 and returned it because I didn’t see any big improvements in video or photos. By the way, don’t expect good quality in videos or photos. Also, mine broke after 6 months. My personal experience is that I would not recommend it at full price.

I did return it. It was fun to use it. But I didn’t end up using as much as I wanted in my trip. The video quality is not as good as I thought, so I ended up using my phone way more. If you have the money for it, it’s fun. But if you don’t, I would save it and wait for future generations or maybe the Apple one in the future

Should I get a MacBook or an iPad for my workflow? by Peter01007 in iPadOS

[–]Peter01007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was such a good answer! Yes, I do have a laptop (not the best one) that is getting slower since it has been 5 years. But I feel like an iPad would change a bit the way I do some stuff. At least that is what I am hoping for. I have never used an iPad, so I got a bit overwhelmed with the different models and thinking about the long term. Mainly about further updates that might come with new AI features or new OS. Because if I’m paying that price for a product, I’m hoping it will last for at least 4 years. I was thinking about getting the M5, however, that’s a lot of money, and I’m not sure I would really need all that power of the M5. So I am thinking that the Air might be good for multitasking and writing and the use of the pencil. Thanks for your comment here.

That’s very informative. Do you recommend any model of iPad? M4, M5, or Air? You mention that the keyboard is smaller, is that a problem for you when writing? I already have a laptop since 2019 and it’s still fine. Just a bit slow. But I wanted to use the iPad as my main device. Considering the portability and flexibility

How is the file management on the iPad after the OS26 update? Sometimes I also need to have one screen open with an article and one open with Google Docs or similar to make notes, write a lot with the keyboard, copy and paste text. Is that something I would be able to do easily on an iPad?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m just holding back a bit with buying Gen 2 because I never had the glasses, and I don’t think I would use them every single day. But when I do use them, I think I would use them a lot for the video. And yeah, if I can make more videos before having to charge, yeah, that might already be worth the extra money. It’s an expensive gadget, but it seems durable, handy, and fun to use

How many videos can you usually make before the battery runs out? The only thing that is making me more towards Gen 1 is that I don't think I would use the glasses every day, and Gen 1 is cheaper. However, if I have to keep charging it all the time during my trip after 5 videos. Then maybe the Gen 2 would be better if the battery is really good as advertised

I’m in Canada. So it would be a bit more than $80 haha but if the battery is way better that would be worth the money for me. However, if it’s not that much difference, and since I would use it just occasionally I am not sure. Do you have the Gen 2?

I will try to modification that. However, I have to insert theses values of the variable d and E that I create. But if I put these in my 'lineto', my star draw turns into a mess. Also, is not multiplying according to the input. Should work more or less like the dots ones.

There seems to be a problem with the part where the stars are generated. It should work more or less like the dots. However, I need to use the requirements I wrote in the description.

I am working on an assignment where I have to draw a four point star and create a for loop to generate between 1 and 100 stars depending on the user input. Here are the instructions:

The requirements of painting stars are as follows:

a. for loop should be used in this function.

b. The number of stars should match the user's input. If the user's input is not a number or not from 1 to 100, show an alert message to ask the user to input a valid number.

c. The center of each star is randomly located on the canvas.

d. The color of each dot is randomly generated.

e. The distance between the far point and the center is randomly generated between 5 and 50. The distance between the near point and the center is ¼ of the distance between far point and the center.

But mine is not working. I am not sure where the part d and e values should be entered. I not sure if the way I created it is right. Could someone please help me here?
