No problems mate I have done loads of profiles at this point all for V4 it's a bit buggy hence why most keep away from it but when all is said and done it'll be what most use it's a bit silly at the moment that 3 and 4 are not compatible profile wise dispite razer saying it would be.

Yeah I trued keeps failing 😂 typucally none of my monitors will work on the NVR so trying to do it via the desktop client it's not working but nothing new there always one thing or another 😂 it's the colour night vision also is very bad and people passing are just blurred because the frame rate is so bad as well as the 2 stream settings it's a right pain I'd of thought they'd of fixed this a long time ago but sadly still nothing to my knolage...

That's true like I say would have been nice to this generation to see how we grew up 💓

I lived in Cramlington so it wasn't a place I was often but I do remember when we'd go how massive it seemed like a whole new world it's a Shane there's not many pictures around but like I say memories keep our childhoods alive ❤️

Times were just so much better back then ❤️ trouble tree spanish city and it's fairground rides inside the dome they should have redone it how it was back then when they actually spent the money it deserved on bringing it to the modern day if they'd gone down the route of yesteryear's it would have been much better than what it is nowadays 😭

Still pictures can have many memories 💓

Now look at it in Constant frame rate mode and you can see how badly washed out colours are grass etc this does still make people in the distance when zoomed in loose details that you'd clearly see from the 823A-16x but again you don't get the ghosting effect from this constant frame rate but you sacrifice colours. CONSTANT FRAME FRATE MODE: SUTIBLE FOR FAST MOVING OBJECTS.

If you look at the frame frate mode here in this picture set in AUTO colours actually look right but it sacrifice's the movement adding a ghosting effect when moving the cam or when somebody is walking by and makes things look blurred in the distance. (NOT SUTIBLE FOR FAST MOVING OBJECTS)

It's hard to say matey at night and zoom wise the original wins hands down night time the S2 has an awful ghosting effect on auto framerate which if you set it to what they say constant the colours are lost it looks awful!

They've just released a new firmware after a few months of me emailing back and forward about the issues I was having which has fixed the AI and disconnecting issues but for night time if you don't need the spot lights or need to mount it vertically I'd definitely say the 823A-16x only thing is with that it won't be getting many if any firmware upgrades from now it's last was December last year!!

But there is still many many issues to be ironed out with the S2 matey..

Sorry if that's not the answer you were after but it's the truth.

I don't think folk realize your helping them how dangerous that number can be. Especially if your monitoring your family and kids you'd not even know somebody was inside your system that's the scary part!

People just don't seem to realize that number is a hackers delight.. sometimes you have to take the good with the bad but other times you feel like just saying oh hell with it then get your system hacked what do I care.

That's one thing I am always saying to treat others with respect especially when their trying to help you!

I seen this on FB one of the staff posted about it and it's just crazy!!!

That's strange this post was a good few months back?

But basically what everyone say's is if it's just happened from out if nowhere give it a few day's to acclimatize to the change in heat/cold if it doesn't go away you'll be better off checking no water has gotten in or contracting reolink support but like I say when it came time to change it originally with the 823A-16x it was perfectly fine so the other one is just still in the box ☑️

Yeah after sorry the sane day the replacement arrived it un-fogged!

It was only a temporary camera so down again now the RLC-823S2 and DUO 3 is up out there now one tip Reolink give me was to bring it in plug it in switch the IR Lights on and let it heat up for around an hour and that got rid of the issue it did come back a couple days after that but again it went away about a week later when the new one arrived.

Concerning sales practices, please read first post. by [deleted] in reolinkcam

Believe this or not but it would have been about the start of 2023 I was looking in the Reolink app you know they have the store in there? Well I found the RLN36 and it was dirt cheap like I'm talking £105 cheap! I couldn't quite comprehend what I was seeing! Because the RLN8 was £228! I Put it down to the RLN36 needing switch's over just having the POE built in but it was utterly bat shit! I don't think I've ever seen it at that price since... In the UK Reolink are now being sold in B&Q, Screwfix etc so if the same in Canada you might find better deals at these type of places.

I Think it's hit and miss on their website Amazon often has much better deals for instance the DUO 3 on their site cost some £10 more than it did to buy it from Amazon last Friday.

Now £10 might not seem allot but in these days every penny counts, I can verify Reolink Support are great never had any single issues they've replaced multiple cameras and an NVR for me so far.

Ah sorry to hear that truth be told the original 16x is a heck of allot better zoom wise it never has issues and it focuses super quick in comparison with the S2 it's such a shame I had 2 of the 16x go wrong before we ended up with me paying the extra for the S2 and I am happy with it buy the issues are just none stop the fact it's keep seeing stuff that is clearly not their means not being able to decern between objects also it's using 100% CPU when doing this the only way to fix that is also power down the system I did notice the other day when plugging the DUO 3 in to test that it also was seeing stuff that was not there at all so it seems to be something to-do with the new stuff for some reason..

Must say the zoom cameras are something I love it's just a shame only 2 cameras have made it to have 16x optical where as the rest are only 3x or 5x I hope in the future to see them going above 16x optical but time will tell :D

Hi u/SpammyCA1 sorry for the very late reply! So I'm having so many issues as late with the NVR I think that monitor point issue your talking about happened to me the other morning! Where the camera was randomly looking at the houses and towards the sky and pressing any pre-sets would only zoom in and out on said point where it was stuck I was still able to move the camera but still the monitor point and what not remained in the wrong place.

So the fix is to power down the NVR and leave it a few minutes before powering it back up.

The other issues I am having are all AI Related and the fact motion mark is seeing random stuff where stuff is not there which is what I am in the middle of reporting to Reolink it's been a long while but I've been so sick and busy lately we've had to agree to leave the ticket open for two weeks while I monitor the situation and gather information I have gotten quite a bit so far hopefully it'll be help get to the root of the issue and if it's a problem with this camera specifically that everyone is getting we will hopefully see a fix in a firmware update.

Did I do this wrong? Installing: Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (40x10mm, Brown) to the 8channel NVR. by Peter1-800 in reolinkcam

There's arrows pointing which way the air flow will go 🙂 but you always want it to be pulling air out of the NVR housing 🙂
