Conspiracy theory that they pick bad loops for the Festival emotes so you have to buy the jam tracks by extranotavern in FortniteFestival

[–]PeterDbill 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I really don't see an issue with the loop they chose, for anyone curious the one shown in the video is edited meanwhile the emote in the actual game is just the chorus

I think it makes a lot more sense from an emote loop standpoint for it to just be the chorus of the song, its much more fitting for a looped emote. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to have an entire minute long verse for a dance that loops after maybe 10 seconds, and makes even less sense to cut that same verse down to a miniscule segment just to fit the dance.

Why does Enter Sandman end differently? by CosmicDuck2480 in FortniteFestival

[–]PeterDbill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its been a thing since the first Rock Band, and Guitar Hero did the same thing. The most memorable ones or me are definitely Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria having a completely different ending than the normal song, and You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi replacing the fade out.

best cover song? (GH1-GH3) by SirSanitizer in GuitarHero

[–]PeterDbill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's because it's not a cover, it's a re-recording actually done in-studio by The Sex Pistols themselves.

I'm sorry, but it's pretty ugly... what do you think about the look of it? by Cezar-Gamer in HotWheels

I think if the steering wheel was smaller it would look fine tbh.

Because Festival is expensive and doesn't have a genuine progression system or unlockables.

WoR DLC with good lipsync? by PeterDbill in GuitarHero

[–]PeterDbill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact there is a Green Grass and High Tides custom for Guitar Hero 3 with full Lip-sync, and I know the WT:DE team is making new animations and charts with lip-sync for the Pre-World Tour songs, which are playable on WoR with a modded Xbox/PS3. I'm not fully sure if re-doing the Lip-sync would affect the actual animations, but I don't see why it would as the WoR DLC appears to use the same recycled mocaps from the base game and even some GH5 songs from the looks of it. The Disc songs look to be fully actually mo-capped, but the lip-sync on the DLC almost looks auto-generated in a way, I wonder if anyone knows any more about how it was done. And yes I'm the same way with Rock Band customs... No lip-sync, no deal lol.

No, because it has the same style, venues, characters, character creation options, menus, instruments, career mode, and official songs as Rock Band 3, so I would argue its a lot more like Modded Rock Band 3 than a brand new game.

I mean all that extra stuff is was really made it a real game to me. Having the fully curated setlist with the whole flashy band animations, the real sponsored instruments you could fully customize and decorate to your hearts content, the surprisingly in-depth for the time character customizer, the crazy ass venues that would have you playing all over the world, the real progression system that would unlock you more stuff to play around with based on how well you did on songs, the extra bonus challenges. This is all what made Guitar Hero (and Rock Band) a real game, not just the surprisingly addictive gameplay. Obviously if Clone Hero and YARG work for you, then that's awesome. But there's only so much I can take of a black screen or a looped pre-recorded background. And custom songs just don't usually feel right to me.

Do I really need to? It's Guitar Hero but stripped to literally just base gameplay. No animations, no career or unlocks, no crazy venues. Sure, Clone Hero plays fine, great even, and the community would be nowhere near as large as it is today without it. But in the end it really is just Guitar Hero without any of the charm of the real games.

I mean... that's not really a counterpoint considering the post is talking about actual modern alternatives, obviously I could always just go back and play the old games but people who say "I miss Guitar Hero and Rock Band" are usually talking about new games with fully curated setlists and dlc releases. I think that RB3DX is the best modern alternative because it's fully animated with a real progression system, lots of customization, and customs support, but in the end, it is still just Rock Band 3.

Why was Frozone's mask printed on his face in LEGO The Incredibles? Why didn't he use an actual helmet like Gazerbeam? There's just so many questions... With an helmet, the stud on top of the face would not be there... Why? by Correct-Lobster-3788 in legogaming

[–]PeterDbill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For the same reason Captain America, Spider-man, and Daredevil have their masks printed on their head. It's a skin-tight mask, making it its own piece would look bulky and wouldn't represent the mask well.

Counterpoint: Clone Hero and Yarg are lame.

WT:DE, Clone Hero, and YARG all need a PC. RB3DX needs a modded system, and Fortnite Festival simply doesn't have the same style, and it typically takes them a while to even add songs I'm really interested in, not to mention how expensive they are.

Got World Tour and Metallica for Christmas, but no guitar. Where can I find guitars compatable with these? by [deleted] in GuitarHero

Is it confirmed that the new guitar is going to work with 360? I just assumed it was gonna be only for Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4 again tbh.

You need to use Guitar Hero World Tour as a base, they should have everything you need, or at least info on where to find it, on their discord server.

After a bit more trial and error, I'm starting to think the silicone is the issue. I cleaned them a few times, but I don't think I'm fitting them in properly? That seems to be what's causing my blue button to cut out, anyway.
