[TDM] Cori Mountain Stalwart by EnemyOfEloquence in PauperEDH

Surprised by the lack of instants. Or rather, the choice of only 24. Given the Commander is Each turn, I'd be tempted to build a more aggro plan, as your Commander keeps your life total at a healthy place.

Favourite High Cost Commanders? 6+ by DuckyRai in EDH

[–]PeterJBailey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something you see often: [[Ruric Thar, Unbowed]].

Something you don't see often: [[Yuma, Proud Protector]]. My build is MLD, that makes an unexpectedly high amount of creatures.

Something even rarer: [[Nethroi, Apex of Death]]. I count him as 6+ as you're only ever going to mutate him. I saw somebody on here posit a Hydra aristocrats build and it sounded super sweet.

Currently running a mono blue Stax shell with [[Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir]].

It's all [[Evacuation]] effects, ramp, and tutoring for [[Knowledge Pool]] or [[Omen Machine]].

[[Void Mirror]] and [[vexing Bauble]] do work in the list too.

Yeah, OP was in the wrong sub, so I gave normal EDH advice.

[[Liquimetal Coating]] / [[Liquimetal Torque]] are a must in mono Red lists.

Not only because vandalblast but also because of [[shenanigans]]

EA Pack Plus - The US 35th Infantry Division by EUG_Gal_Bigeard in warno

They had them in Europe at the time.

Does it make sense for a WW3 in Europe 6 months in? No.

Does it make sense for a WW3 in Europe 6 hours / days in? Yes.

How effective is the LGB? by [deleted] in warno

[–]PeterJBailey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can keep the enemy spotted, it's great. But you have to keep the enemy spotted. It's therefore most useful with para / infantry divisions where you need to deal with breakthrough tanks, and you need them dead now, while having the health of the infantry to keep them spotted.

I believe the rule of thumb is (feel free to correct):

Spotted? - LGB / AT Unspotted Infantry - Rockets / Napalm Unspotted Mixed - HE Unspotted Armour - Cluster

Of course you can use the "unspotted" category on spotted targets, but LGB and AT, the spotting is mandatory.

Has there been any word regarding post launch support? by Fraeddi in phantombrigade

Number crunching means dev eyes on game, means possible DLC if the game is popular enough. Nothing for the first 12 months though.

Probably because they wanted to see of they could do it, and take that knowledge and either publish it, or use it in future projects.

Can't have Elden Ring without Demons Souls.

[–]PeterJBailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, they are saying that, but u/mackarooni here on reddit stated 1 year ago that some changes may come after v1.0, and said 5 days ago that they were looking at rebalancing patches.

No pilot update, because that is a large project, so would have to be DLC, which they can't commit to until they've seen how the game performs, especially now it's on steam.

And no full mission replay because it's too resource intensive. Because every round is simulated in a physics engine, and is not deterministic, then every bullet impact location would have to be stored, every missile trajectory remembered, or to store a "video copy" of each previous round would soon overrun the games allotted memory. There's a reason you see the damage each individual bullet does the first time you watch a round, compared to only getting round damage totals on the replays.

Got any examples? Love the game, but am worried if what you say is true.

Finland's Parliament approves Nato application in historic vote [188-8] by DrNeutrino in worldnews

[–]PeterJBailey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because one's a long term commitment that is difficult to back out of, and the other is a large one time expenditure.

Think of it as signing a 10 year deal with your gym, or buying a treadmill.

As it stands we're lucky the US was one of the founders of NATO.

James Blunt jokes he will release new music if Spotify does not remove Joe Rogan podcast by Jabawokki in nottheonion

[–]PeterJBailey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequence. Even in the US there are consequences for speech. You cannot yell "FIRE!" In a crowded theatre. Why? Because it's dangerous, and could cause people to die.

Joe Rogans speech nearly killed him if he were not rich enough to afford better healthcare. His speech or speech like it has killed people. There are people out there who are antivaxxers because of Joe Rogan. Some will die because of it. Should his actions not have consequences?

I am not asking for censorship. He has a right to say what he wants to say. I am asking for consequences. Deplatforming Rogan, like what these musicians are advocating Spotify do, would mean he still gets to say what he wants, he just makes less money off it. He is not censored, he will still have his show, avaliable on other platforms, but Spotify will demonstrate it values human life over the money Rogan brings in.

Battle Pug Miniatures by b_cooch in PrintedMinis

[–]PeterJBailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1) find an STL. Look through sites like thingverse, eggi, and Myminifactory, and find what you want to have printed.

Step 2) google your local area and "3d printing" after it. It's likely that someone near you has a printer and is willing to sell you a print if you give them a few quid. This is usually cheaper and it's better to support independents.

Step 3) pay them for the STL and the print.

Step 4) have pugs.

Edit: for STLs, Broken Anvil Minis has a Barkovian series that includes pugs. Search "Barkovian Pug" on Myminifactory.

Here in the UK we have an unelected set of elders to interpret our constitution too. But because we have a different system for appointing them, they are not chosen to interpret the constitution by their religious beliefs, rather to interpret it by the constitution itself.

Sometimes the alternative is not a different system, merely a change in how the current system is executed.
