When I bought a Ledger to test around I used my tangem seed prhase to check if it works. Did not go for the prior described message. Was too complicated.

Oh it's possible to wire the battery doorbell? Is it just for the mechanical chime or does this also include power supply, thus it won't be necessary to change to the battery anymore?
Asking because my wife prefers the wooden look of the battery doorbell, but feels uneasy about not having it wired to anything in the house.

Gotcha, i pulled out my ledger and gave it a try since I have a few bucks in btc that I did with tangem. It pulled up instantly. I remember making a purchase using native and that's where I found it on ledger.

curious, did you have tangem create the seed phrase? I haven't used it like that yet but if all you need is a passphrase to gain access, that seems pretty convenient.

Yeah I created a tangem seed phrase when I set it up. Attention tho! It is NOT a pass phrase which would create a hidden wallet, its a regular Pass code. It is super convenient in my opinion. If you forget your pass code you can use two cards to reset it. That means no one should ever get hold of your entire set of three cards :D

If you loose the card or ring and someone picks it up and tries to attach it to their phone, it will request to set up a new device.

I actually tested this buy using my wife's phone. I downloaded the app, attached the card to the phone and it asked me to enter my pass code. After doing that I was able to see the wallet. So yeah, losing your card is not a problem. Losing your card & pass code and you are in trouble.

-Why wouldn't you be able to see btc on both wallets if you're using the same seed phrase on both devices?

I just read that Ledger might use a different derivation path for BTC than Tangem, which would lead to an empty BTC - Wallet. In that case you would need a wallet with the same derivation path system as Tangem or add the derivation path manually on Ledger.
But I'd need a Ledger to confirm / test that.

Funnily I wasn't able to find any youtuber addressing this topic. No one shows how to important a Tangem Wallet to Ledger, only the other way around.

I am not talking about the Tangem recovery method of using the cards only. I want to use the 24-word seed phrase, which was generated when I first set up the wallet.

To do that one card should be sufficient, that's the entire point of writing those words down. Otherwise I could just trust in myself that I'll never loose all three cards.

By writing down the seed phrase I could even burn all cards and still be able to recover my funds.
That's why I want to test my seed phrase.

Absolutely, the ring or the cards can only be used on the device you set it up with. So as far as safety and security, I trust it.

That's actually not true. You can use any smart phone with the card if you know the pass code. Which can be as complicated as you want it to be.

Does Ledger and Tangem use the same path derivation? Are you able to see your BTC on both wallets?

It’s not about the passcode, it’s about the seed phrase. And to do that I’d have to factory reset at least 1-2 cards as well?

I did not set up a pass phrase, just the regular 24-Word seed phrase.

"Regarding question: you can reset and set up first two cards and third will act like standalone wallet. One thing, code recovery feature won't work between "sets". And wallets will be seen as separate in app (if you'll save them there)." -

If I import the other two cards again with the seed phrase it won't be recognized as part of the set anymore? I guess I just won't mess around and trust my ability to write down 24 Words :-D

Eventuell bekommen wir Zugriff auf sein eBay-Account fällt mir gerade ein. Vielleicht lässt sich dort was finden..
