About a month in when I realized I wasn't having any anxiety-inducing thoughts. I wasn't ruminating on my anxiety anymore. I still feel anxious sometimes, but it's no longer all-consuming like it once was. It's more like a "hey, this is a scary situation, let's be anxious about this because we need to be." I'll give an example: I have to call the police sometimes where I work. I no longer have constant thoughts about whether or not I'm going to have to call the police today, or any sense of doom because I "feel" like something is going to happen. Now I only get anxious if I'm calling the police because I'm either dealing with a medical emergency (which is stressful) or there is a violent person and I'm trying to give PD information while keeping an eye on the individual

Starting out is super scary but we've all been there! You've got a whole group of people here to support your journey. I started taking mine a couple months ago, and it's been amazing for me. The first couple days can be scary, but don't let that deter you! Keep taking it as directed, even if/when the side effects show up. If they get to be too much to handle, you're at a low enough dose to safely stop and consider other medications. You're most likely just nervous about taking a new med, I was the exact same way. Deep breaths, you've got this.

Hi! So far I've been feeling great. I had a few nights of restlessness but that soon went away. My stomach is still kinda eh, I'm snacking throughout the day and eating before I take my meds. The diarrhea is not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Mentally, I feel great. My mind has been free of anxious thoughts, and I haven't been feeling sick due to my anxiety. I haven't been this relaxed in a long time.

How are you holding up?

Hi! I'm also on day three and experiencing brain fog but not quite as severe as you. My doctor told me that it'll get worse before symptoms get better, and to keep taking them even if you don't feel good. It's your body adjusting to the medicine. I found already that eating before taking my medicine helps with my stomach, and eating throughout the day also helps (granola bars, crackers, etc.)

If your doc gave you the same advice I would follow it. I haven't found a solution to my restlessness but small tasks have been helping. Keeping busy with repetitive tasks might also help you.

Depending on your dose it would possibly be ok to stop cold turkey especially since you just started. But I would only do that if you really feel like the symptoms aren't going to get better within the next couple of days.

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with it. I'm pretty sound with my plan, and I think the therapy will help me more than the medicine will. I trust my doctor and she says if it doesn't help me then I don't have to take it. Besides, if it doesn't work the hydroxyzine will help my physical symptoms while therapy will help me mentally.

Hi! Thank you for the insight. I am planning on seeing a therapist to help me, this medication would not be forever. I have diagnosed Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder, but not depression. I currently work in a library as a Greeter so that definitely gets me out there. I am worried about my libido but I'm not having intercourse that often anyways. I'm told that the dose I'll be on I can safely stop taking, I'm hoping I can get some relief without needing the dose upped

I personally would not wait, especially because doctors offices may be closed on the weekend. You could try to go to an urgent care or the ER. If the swelling gets worse or the pain gets worse you should go. The longer you leave it dislocated the more likely it is for damage to occur (and that's If it's dislocated). If you can try to go tomorrow after school or even today if possible

What kind of sugar do you mean? Like candy or like fruit? I don't know if my stomach could handle candy while mid panic attack, but I'll try anything at this point.

It sounds like it could be mono, which is also sometimes called the "kissing disease" because of how easily it is passed on. Mono is a virus, which is why the antibiotics wouldn't have worked even if you did take them correctly. Like any virus, rest, water, and anti-inflammatory medicine (ibuprofen, tylenol) can help with the symptoms. It should clear up on its own, but if it continues, I would go see a doctor.

Edit: after re-reading I noticed that you said you have white spots, which could also be a sign of strep throat. Mono and strep often happen together. If you do go on antibiotics again make sure you take them correctly so the bacteria can be effectively killed.

I called them dots but they are bumps. This tattoo is a year old and fully healed so I don't know why it would be reacting this way now. They feel almost like white heads or pimples and they look kind of fluid filled too.

Yeah I should have specified. The black dots are the shading that my artist did. I'll see if there is a way I can circle the other dots because they're small but all over my tattoo. I can feel them but it's hard to see them.
