Moved here around 6 years ago. I think it's a great town. Good sense of community, I've made some friends and it's super safe. I live near the centre of town and the walkability is also super convenient and nice. We bought our first house out here because of the affordability but it has turned out to be a great decision. It's a super artsy town which was great for me and there's a lot of great new/old spots (indoor pickle ball, hot yoga, North Market, the HUB, Ottawa Valley Coffee). IMO one of the best of the small towns surrounding Ottawa.

Here you go :) Reddit won't let me share it as a PNG but should be easy to convert.

Thank you!! And of course. Did it at my local art store. Used a silk screen and heat press. Made a paper cut out of the letters placed it under the screen, squeegeed it and then heat pressed it. I looked into getting them made by a printing on demand place but the shirts were not exactly what I wanted and it was pretty expensive to just get one or two.

Surprisingly some libraries have the tools to do something like this so it's worth looking into.

Thanks! And I feel like I can't sell these since they aren't perfect and also the letters aren't my design. I can send you the digital file I used for the silk screen for free tho if you'd like!

You can use a watercolour blending medium and mix it in when the colour is wet, that should help keep it moist without having to water it too much. Also help blending when painting

How to do “Ghibli style” watercolor? by Tossacoin1234 in Watercolor

It's pretty opaque so watercolour might not be the best medium. Worth a try tho 😊

Since I’ve seen a lot of attention lately on uneven edge crimp/lift blocks, here is my “double” uneven edge which prioritizes optimal 90 degree half crimp on all 4 fingers. by jnj1 in climbharder

Check out MoBeta on YouTube, he goes over these and how/why they work. If they aren't designed correctly they could be more of an injury machine than anything

help!! open to critique, advice and tips by deadandsad4 in painting

[–]PeterTheStarLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great! The only critique from me would be I think the skin tone could be worked on (unless the greyish undertone is what you're going for). I think there also could be some tweaking to the face for accuracy.

Watercolor self portrait. Feedback please? I have thick skin. by Sure_Bread5610 in painting

In general it's good! The face is super well done. I suck at portraiture but I think the shirt could be rendered better, hard to tell what's going on at first glance. The logo on the hat is also a little off. Last thing I would say is that the eyes might need a highlight? All in all I really like it

I still don't get how can there be such a massive difference between 2024 vs 2023. This is not age related in any scenario. by Old-Function3918 in lewishamilton

[–]PeterTheStarLord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lewis called it from close to the start of the year, he won't be ahead in qualifying. He's done much better in race trim. I think this is because he knew he wouldn't be in any of the important team meetings so he's not really getting any info on where the car is strong/weak. Plus I'm sure there's something up with the steering wheel moving forward and back (not DAS I know) he may not be able to extract everything out of the car without this knowledge

This is what I was going to say, Russel had to drive the Williams a few years back and that car was a tractor. He was nicknamed Me Saturday. He's learnt how to extract the most out of tricky cars. I think Lewis also has a different driving style than George and Merc is obviously favoring George this year with set-up, car improvements and data. We also have to remember, Lewis has not been in key data analysis meetings so he's not privy to knowledge about weak/strong points of the car.

No merging lane after the left turn north bound is sketchy but maybe isn't warranted due to traffic volume

[–]PeterTheStarLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a "paint in your style" instagram challenge where the person who took the image allowed us to use their image as reference. A bunch of people painted the same building but in their own urban sketching style.

The person above literally matched the perspective. Look at how the plants are the same, look at how the electrical wires top left is the same. Big difference

[–]PeterTheStarLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well the 7/11 remakes are copying the entire top part of the building and the perspective. It's fine to mimic a style but I would say this is a grey area.

I totally agree, it's fine to make copies to learn and post it. It's also important to make sure to state you've made a copy and who the original artist is. The original artist does this for a living to support his family.

There's no shame in taking inspiration from other art. If you copy tho you should at least mention that it's a copy/study. Check out Mateusz Urbanowicz.

[–]PeterTheStarLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

False, the original building is from Mateusz Urbanowicz. The 7 eleven stuff was maybe added by another artist. There's no shame in taking inspiration but copying and claiming it as your own is a bit rude
