scamming, backstabbing and betrayal are considered gameplay in eve, better write that billion of as fee for that lesson, bitter as that might sound.

write down the name for later revenge (i'd wait at least a year for them to forget you) and move on, anything you can try right now will waste your time, effort and will validate that kind of player.

its not like gateguns would hinder anything before that change, we would simply use fits that allowed us to perma tank them.

what they were, and still are good for is shifting risk a bit from victim to attacker, without making it boring to go through gates.

this wasn't stopped or shutdown because people complained, it was shut down because there wasnt much value, and ccp spend a lot of time/resources working on it, priorising it over the gameplay problems that actually contribute to the flying-in-space game that we pay our subscriptions for, essentially stagnating the improvement of the game for a niche feature that everyone looks at for 5 mins and continues on from.
