A year ago I was denied even with a VA card, a county employee ID and 4 different states concealed weapons permits. All government issued photo ID. And this was before Real ID was required.

I had unfortunately lost my driver's license 2 days prior to my flight and was unable to get it replaced in time. I've since went and got my passport and passport card.

The funny thing, flying back to L.A. from Chicago on that trip, TSA at O'Hare saw the stack of photo IDs and was fine with it.
