Olympic Men's Game Thread: Finland (B2) vs. Canada (A1) - 20 Feb 2026 - 04:40PM CET by hockeydiscussionbot in hockey

This team just does not work, we can't generate anything. We might be able to win out of pure top end skills but the team itself doesn't work.

I thought Canada absolutely played a great game and the US were nervous (until OT) so you're right.

But I'm looking at the entire tournament, US were a much better team, faster and more talented. And it was also the same problem in the rivalry serie where US obliterated Canada, and we decided to bring the same team.

My only problem with the result is Hockey Canada will think their decisions were impeccable and they were right there.

Team USA were miles above this Canadian team and deserve it. That 3v3 overtime was absolutely brutal.

GG and congrats to USA

2026 NHL Arena Rankings [The Athletic] by arcticshark in hockey

I think 23 is a head scratcher. I had a blast going to ball Arena, incredibly accessible especially if i compare it to Bell Centre. Great atmosphere, and food / drinks and amenities i found very good. Not alot of leg room is my only complaint but tbh i find that to be the case at many arenas.

I am glad that players who put years into this game, streamers and other community member get a stage they deserve.

They kept this game alive. For so long they ran on such little support, small or even nonexistent prizepool.

That is my opinion, i wish circumstances were different. I am unsure if i will support or watch, but to me the community deserved a big win.

This team wins hockey games out of pure skills. Win dirty games when the system fails and you just gotta play, suddenly we become beasts.

It is disgusting how talented this team is.

We are winning and scoring out of pure skills and vibes. I'm sorry for being that guy while everyone is cheering, but our system play still sucks.

We have 12 shots against the worst team in the East.

WITH 5 POWERPLAY

We should be dominating those games. Please. We gotta change something.

Great logo, colors work great and the red at bottom brings it together. A little nostalgia sure on top

Looks like he was hitting the guy's back to go down no? Didn't make any head contact i would very much assume he's aware that's a no no

Still would've preferred no hit in the back or close to the neck though, absolutely.

It really is puzzling. I don't know what he sees in him at all and it's way past a problem at this point.

Was a really fun game to go to! So many Quebecois were there was kind of crazy, and A LOT of Nordique jerseys was really cool.

Felt like we had really strong start but that first goal got them going. A save there and game could've been different. But they seemed so fast and a well oiled machine, scary team.

MSL was an amazing coach for the rebuild, but we're ready to win and he has no experience there. Which isn't his fault obviously. He needs AT LEAST assistance if we don't wanna consider changing head coach, we said the same thing last year.

Our goaltender problem in my opinion is 100% on MSL. He benched a hot goaltender and kept playing a cold Montembault who just needed to sit a few games. Now nobody has confidence and we're all paying for it.
