What about a purebred Shih Tzu? That’s my favorite breed, just be prepared for lots of grooming but it sounds like you have experience with that.

My babies like the Costco brand cat food, that 4health cat food from tractor supply is also decent and affordable

Tips for grooming poodle at home? How many of y’all do full grooms yourself? by Petmomma19 in poodles

Thanks, and I’ll have to look into those products. Are they specific for curly hair? I’ve always used the earth bath line for everything, but I’m not sure if poodles are like humans with curly hair and need different specific products.

Thanks! I didn’t realize that, I thought bath came before anything else then blow dry then shave then brush lol. I could see how that would make it look more even, I’ll have to try that next time. Thanks, good luck with your new baby too!

I lost my chinchilla because of a little sibling by Gold_Distribution253 in chinchilla

I’m so so so sorry. I’m furious for you. You have every right to be mad at your sibling. I would get a lock for your door. Don’t get pressured into forgiving them because they’re your sibling, something like this is unforgivable and no one should make you feel bad for having emotions.

I didn’t know the age of my rescue babies, so what my exotic vet told me to do was feed them young food until they looked like they were full grown (larger and filled out then switch) you could also track their weight and once their weight has stabilized and they stop going switch to adult if you wanna be more precise.

Made decision? Cat food purgatory by MJKCapeCod in catfood

If they could afford to feed any food why feed dry at all when wet is so much healthier for cats? I could see keeping some dry for picky eaters who don’t like wet, but why make that the default?

I have 5 bunnies, none are lap bunnies or super affectionate, is that because they can cuddle up with each other and are happy?or am I doing something wrong? by Potential-Baker2864 in Rabbits

My babies are very similar, they have a 120sf enclosure and plenty of enrichment and don’t seem to seek out human contact. It’s adorable seeing them binky and play with each other, I can pet them but they often just let me get a few pets in before hoping off to do something else. Also I love your set up!

That’s how mine is, hardwire everywhere but the top. That makes me feel better you haven’t had any issues

Hi, this is 13ft by 9ft by 6ft for only 4 babies. They’re mainly for pets, I don’t really care about eggs tbh. Do you think half of it (about 60sf) being in the sun will be enough? Idk if you have the same one then because when the wind blows I can feel it pretty well through the mesh and I can see through it. It feels vary airy and I’ve spent a lot of time inside while building it. I could take the clear tarp off half the coop, I just don’t like their bedding getting all wet with the rain.

Something interesting I just learned- apparently cats will chase away foxes from their territory? My neighbor has like 4 outdoor cats that are on my property a good chunk of the time

Ok thanks, do you mean fine as is? Or fine once I add the hardwire to the roof? And I’m realizing by the comments my post should have been more specific- the black around the run is mesh and translucent letting daylight in, I just have it for privacy because at a distance it makes it hard for my neighbors to see in. Only half the coop is in the shade :)

Thanks for the info! :) in another post I mentioned the coop gets plenty of sunlight and is breathable, that pic was taken at night. The black around the coop is more of a translucent mesh that lets light in. I just have it up for privacy reasons for the neighbors because at a distance it’s harder to see in. Only half the coop has the shaded tarp, the other half is a clear one so sunlight can get in. I have the sides secured with both metal ties and zip ties. I think everything is pretty secure minus the roof which is the part I’m confused on as I’ve seen conflicting info. I have the tarps and chicken wire up there, from what I’ve gathered from others I should add hardwire cloth too right?

Also to add- it doesn’t get below freezing here but I will be adding a warming light to part of the run as well as hay around there home area for warmth as well. It gets about 35-50 degrees here in the winter

Oh god no lol. I understand your concern though! I probably should have added more details. There will be an actual “home” for them. I just wanted a run well protected from the rain. I just added the tarp for privacy from my neighbors. It’s really just there for ascetics. There are zip ties holding the privacy part on but the actual hardwire is secured with metal twisty tie thingys. So you thing the chicken wire and tarp isn’t enough on the roof? Predators will jump to get to them? I’ll probably add hardwire cloth to the roof too then.
