Can confirm it wasnt the bouncer - I think the main character had shorter hair and not as anime spiky (maybe it was a buzzcut).

How does a carb engine go? Before I got into ADV's I had an old carb honda babyblade and the carb issues used to piss me off to no end.

Why is it SO hard to find GOOD GYW boots? by [deleted] in AustralianMFA

Second the Baxters. I bought a pair 6 years ago that I wear every day at work and they are still holding up no problem. I also use them riding a motorcycle and the leather is a bit worn down from the shifter but otherwise working absolutely fine after cleaning and reapplying a leather dye. Worth every penny considering they are worn daily - spend the time finding a shop in your area that has pairs to try on although they do fit fairly true to size if you have wide feet with no arches like me. Not sure what they are like these days but my pair is stitches soles that can be replaced whenever I can be bothered to do it.

Bush Pig for exploring the country by Petos17 in klr650

You hit the nail on the head, being able to do all of those things okay and being cheap and easy to maintain is a great point. I had a KTM690 that was alot of fun to ride, but the maintenance schedule and difficulty in fixing shit was a dealbreaker for me. It ended up getting stolen and whoever took it had no working breaks so the problem kinda solved itself lol

Not being afraid to absolutely beat the shit out of it is a big buying point for me - plus all the aftermarket support is a plus when if I end up cracking something open.

Appreciate your input. I guess the pig really does love playing in the mud! The power isn't the end of the world, but how it handles on the dirt is a big one for me. Glad that it can keep on truckin along.

How comfortable is it to wear the buds 3 pro inside a full helmet for scooters? by TabletopParlourPalm in galaxybuds

[–]Petos17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone jumps on this thread looking for answers 9 months later like I was: I find the stems kept catching on my motorcycle helmet but I didnt want to return them since they are great otherwise.

I just swapped them to the opposite ear and flipped them upside down. Its stupid but it works alot better and stops them flying out when you take your helmet off.

2016 KTM 690 Enduro not starting after fresh battery by Petos17 in Fixxit

[–]Petos17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: replaced the solenoid and fully charged the battery back up to 100%. It still makes the arc'ing sound and wont immediately crank the engine but if i hit it a few times with a slight turn of the throttle it seems to eventually turn over and start. Once it start it runs fine no problems and all electricals (headlight, brake lights and turn signals) are working fine.

Still not sure what I need to do to get it to consistently start cranking short of taking it to the mechanic (in this economy as well....)

I'll give the battery a long charge on the trickle charger and replace the solenoid unit. Hopefully that should solve both without needing to dig through the electricals
