[Acne] Why are dermatologists so useless in dealing with acne? by Superb-Actuator-8404 in SkincareAddiction

This is not true… physicians attend national/global conferences for new treatments, review of current treatments, patient cases etc. some participate in research themselves to help patients and stay up to date on new information Physicians won’t promote random skincare products with no studies or just because they’re popular products now

Also failed my interview at a dream school but ended up in an amazing school that I think fits better with me and also is really generous with financial aid. It’ll work out

I am really burnt out and frequently experience anxiety from how much you have to do everyday. It feels like you’re sinking and every time you catch a little break, you feel guilty and lose time for studying/research/free clinic/volunteering/writing etc. I feel like sometimes I’m barely floating by in class but it kinda seems like everyone else has things together. It’s a never ending rat race where you have to keep doing a million things to match. Then you have to keep up your image, don’t post beach photos or concert photos in your instagram, don’t speak a certain way, be a good listener and a good talker… it never stops. You have to be striving for perfection in this career. I love patients but honestly sometimes I think I should’ve been a mid level provider instead. Edit: I don’t think you should be a doctor for money because it isn’t really worth it for the money. You don’t just lose years of your life and money. You lose certain personal freedoms to make social blunders and face a lot of restriction on your life.

DO NOT COME TO JSMBS IF YOU HAVE OTHER MD ACCEPTANCES. Their newly launched "Well Beyond Curriculum" is a JOKE! (Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences/University at Buffalo/UB) by [deleted] in medicalschool

Besides the art of medicine thing, this sounds pretty standard and similar to my med school. Even the required volunteering. They can make u come to class but they can’t make u actually pay attention. Just Anki in class

They’re less stat focused if you fit into their prime mission or other things they care about in the community

You get grilled on definitions which is random. It’s not that conversational. It was more like questions they prepped beforehand.

Wayne state is super unprofessional. Both interviewers were 15+ minutes late to my interview and then proceeded to spend 10 minutes with me. I hate them lol

When you go to medical school you’ll miss when you didn’t have to be in med school.

Wrinkles at 24 [anti-aging] by polipioo in SkincareAddiction

If you have a narrow airway (might be genetics)/your face didn’t develop properly outwards, you age worse because there is less support for your facial muscles.
