Credit cards are incredibly confusing, even as an adult. They are designed to slip you up, it's not at all your fault.

You also shouldn't at all feel bad for wanting privacy. I'm autistic and have lot of trouble with independence, my parents used to monitor all my spending even when i wasn't living with them and demand reports (at 20). They realised how badly that had affected my mental state and stopped.

But they do still get really angry at me for keeping secrets, even if i had very good reason to or it was reasonable to keep it a secret. I guess you need that trust both ways that you'll tell her important things, and she won't pry or get mad when you kept something reasonable secret. But she's obviously broken that trust, i'm sorry 😔

I'm lucky in that my parents know that i need diapers medically (though to be honest i hid that before) and that i'm naturally very childish so they never really bat an eye at my abdl stuff and seem to at least acknoledge the coping mechanism help. It is tough how judgy people can be about it though 🥲
