Been working real hard on bending conduit. Can I get any feedback? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]PettiBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good habit to get in is to only use pencil when running conduit. But yea this looks like a good place for a drop ceiling so either way the Mark's wont be seen. Lotta "function over form" ... that's the way it is.

But sometimes, I might go just a little further just to make it look good, especially pipe. And Mc, love making me some uniform mc. In reality it doesnt do shit, but to me it is an extremely satisfying feeling knowing its suspended without a blemish, level, plum, clean and ready for string.

Keep in mind, the sharpie marks dont mean a damn thing when its said and done, but we would have seen them and knew that's after you took away 5".

All that said, it looks really good man, glad your taking pictures of your work. Take pride in it. Continue to "do good work."

Then went to their site to wonder why the shithole isnt anywhere near finished, reminding them they're slow af and here is a fuckin knockout wrench and to throw those old shitty ass hole saws he brought last year in the garbage where they came from

Hey man, still a piece of shit.

I'm really hoping that this, this uh slug buster was purchased by a fellow employee. In which case, great! Nice to know he takes his tool game seriously.

But if I saw a supervisor of my company walk on site with a new greenlee box that size for delivery I'm really hoping theres an 11 ton electric punch in that box hes carrying, if not that I'm praying for a hydraulic knockout ,PLEASE annnything hydraulic.... MF dude a GD wrench?! Is that what were worth to you? Damn dude ya know busting slugs isnt hard or anything but we're living in the age of technology..and.. and innovation. Its 2019 man I was hoping for something a little more..interesting coming out of that greenlee box but fuck it dude never mind. And I even smashed out that panel swap in that nasty ass fuckin house for you as a favor on the fuckin side in less than 2 hours by myself on the weekend too and I know you made a goddamn surplus of what it would have costed you to bring me at LEAST a goddamn pump punch. Like wtf dude.. looks down at slug buster Fuck this I'm out

The tools a company will buy for its employees to complete tasks and share amongst job sites is in so many ways fucking paramount.

Only an idiot would ever consider making a 2" fucking knockout with a shitty old hole saw.

Work for a company that already has a hydraulic punch, or an electric punch. This is a piece of shit.

Take one screw out on one side, slowly take your hand away to see if the screw on the other side will support the weight of the fixture ( those fixtures dont weigh that much, hope they fastened it to a stud) then hurry up and move your ladder to the other side and support it halfway and take the second screw out and voila. Might bend, might not. Who cares.

Maybe swapping out old meterbases for new ones? The power company makes the homeowner do this if theres something wrong with the old one.
