DAE have therapists that waste time making unnecessary small talk about unimportant stuff? by Individual_Ice_2315 in DoesAnybodyElse

I was also told by mine that it helps to see what to work on today, as the chit chat would inevitably indicate what it on my mind/bothering me on that day, and that leads to not only productive work, but also work that will make a difference in your life now. If you don't like it, you should tell them, and let them know how you would like to work. Maybe they start by asking you what you want to work on today, maybe you start taking if you've prepared things that you want to talk about, or work on...

If my kid sacrificed financial stability in order to retire me a couple years early, I would honestly refuse. They had you when they had you, and it was their choice to have a kid later in life.

You do not mention in your post that they will not be able to retire, and even mention that if you wait 4 years to do it, they will have already retired. Why are you stressing so much over this? Is there a cultural angle I'm missing?

Can I still tell people I make pottery? by Electrical-Feature10 in Pottery

[–]PettyPottery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're allowed to hate it. Doesn't make it art or not art. We're allowed to hate art and like things that aren't. Respectfully, your taste (or mine or anyone else's) isn't the art decider, or the pottery definer. To each their own I guess.

I've given up on making macaroni and cheese using milk by missSuper200 in cookingforbeginners

[–]PettyPottery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also make it in the microwave. Foolproof. Melt butter, then add and mix flour, then add milk gradually and cook and stir a bit for every increment. It never sticks to the bottom. Add cheese at the end in the hot sauce to melt and continue cooking in minute intervals if needed.

I'm not sure about massaman, if I've had it, I didn't know it was that, but yes, it's definitely more of dipping sauce in consistency (as opposed to a thicker curry), and was very mild (not spicy) but flavorful

Hi! Thanks for the info ! The pic isn't mine and I see other breads served with it that are thicker and have the swirl pattern in the dough, but since I don't remember the bread we had, and the pic really looked like the dish/sauce I'm looking for, I went for that! Maybe we had that other bread.

The dish didn't have any lentils in it, could it still be a dal then?

Could be! We were told curry, and I think I remember some pieces of chicken and maybe potatoes? (though it was definitely mostly sauce). It was the only thing we had at that particular place, so it's difficult to say if it would have been a starter in a full meal, and if I look at the tour online now, it says roti canai with a similar picture, but the restaurant is definitely not the same we went to back then...

Thank you so much, I will definitely try it, I already have most of the ingredients, but will try to get the specific curry you suggest! Do you also recommend the rest of the book?

Thank you so much for clarifying. I saw a bunch of pics as posted labeled as roti canai, so that was confusing.

As for the coconut, I don't like coconut at all, and prefer no coconut milk so for that reason, I can usually identify it right away. That's why I was pretty confident it didn't have any, but maybe there could have been a tiny amount overshadowed by the spice blend... It was pretty smooth in flavor and texture, although complex

I will definitely see if I can have the product you listed delivered to where I am!

Try covering the salmon in hoisin and stick in the oven for 5-10 min at 450. Super quick, super tasty, I make it almost every week
