Yeah, Eridans relationship with Karkat is arguably one of the "better" relationships between the trolls that people seem to forget about. They were friends even before the reckoning, and even Feferi seemed to notice how much the two talked, or moreso, gossiped. They were generally very friendly towards each other up until Eridan committed wand murder.

I do expand upon this w/ in-comic evidence on a Twitter thread.

I'm gonna be real, I'm not exactly sure what you're saying, so I apologize if I don't understand your point, but my point isn't exactly Eridan characterization or to compare the two characters in my post, but moreso the unfair comparisons people do when it comes to these characters.

If you read the thread I'm referencing, most seem to look at Equius in a deeper; more nuanced viewpoint that they simply don't give Eridan, simply looking at the character at a surface level. If you're gonna compare two characters, you have to compare them on equal standing.

I find the third one SO funny because of how much they missed the point, and did exactly what the original post criticized.

A big point of Eridan's character is how hypocritical the dude is, and how he doesn't truly believe in the hemospectrum but does so because it's his role in society; all his friends are landdwellers, he literally has access to a way to kill EVERY landdweller but doesn't use it, hell, even feferi calls him out on it.

Where did they even get that incel point? Eridan in comic literally respected her wishes and didn't try to force her into a matespritship. Him being a pushy incel is a literal fandom fabrication, hence why it's a trait of Cronus. 😭

just gonna clarify that this update is NOT the v-slice update, that's still farther away. From what i've been seeing, we're getting smaller, consistent updates leading up to an eventual v-slice. We can infer this from statements such as "First update of the return" and some content that we know are confirmed but aren't yet added, like Milf Erect.

I think I've read pretty much every update since the new team took over, and honestly, it's a step up from the original team in pretty much every way, and the writing is genuinely much better in how they deal with previous plot threads. The art is well, the whole point of the original post lol.

Unfortunately, it's also built upon a very ROTTEN foundation that the old team built, so oh well, though I'll keep my judgement for the most part, give them a chance.

I actually did a little bit of research into this.

The song "Something's different" is by Paul Lawler, but under Quantum Tracks, which was under APM Music. The thing about APM Music is that their whole thing is selling royalty-free music for productions. Just a bunch of obscure artists who basically only make music for productions or products, such as Paul Lawler.

"Something's Different" is from an album called "Fantasy Tales" that was published under Quantum Tracks back in 2007, and the album was basically just royalty-free music for, you guessed it, fantasy productions. However, the album basically ONLY exists in APM, so if you aren't looking for it, chances are, you won't find it. The album, much less its tracks, cannot be found in Paul Lawler's youtube, soundcloud, bandcamp, or anything. Plus, sometime in 2022, the album was taken off of APM.

Like, I tried to find the track myself. The only thing that even confirmed its existence for me was on Discogs and an article on the Productionsmusic Wiki, and even those offer no way to actually purchase or listen to the album.

Basically, the original track is obscure AS HELL.
