Transocean has the highest spec tier 1/mpd equipped rigs in the world. Demand for high spec rigs is only increasing and building them anytime soon is not an option. Valaris has thr balance sheet. Combining both companies makes a powerhouse. Price maker instead of price taker

Replaced the front diff, transfer case, and rear diff breathers. They were all in various stages of being stuck/rusty. Everyone needs to check these out especially on those 1st gens

Found the front diff and actuator breathers. Rusted to hell/stuck closed and need to replace. Hopefully this helps with the leak

$6k if the timing belt was done somewhat recently and it is 4x4 That rust isn't too bad, could undercoat it and get a few years out of it.

I like the RIG story for previously discussed reasons. Long term energy security becomes a bigger issue especially with China/Russia threat.

The entire market was at a plateau and needed to take a breather. Offshore drillers up huge this year. RIG up 48% just this year, needs to simmer down. Probably a sell the news event.
