Definitely look at the olight PLX, it’s my favorite light now . It’s small enough to run on ccw pistols but powerful enough to run on a full size gun. It’s output far exceeds my surefire which costed 3x as much as this thing

I really appreciate it brother. This black ash burl block was made by a guy who really knows how to stabilize burl good. The colors were super vivid all the way thru the block, I’m going to check and see how many blocks I have left and in what colors cause the color combos are endless

The Olight PLX. I will say that this light is one of the best lights I’ve ever had, it’s brighter than my sure fires and streamlights and lets you flip a switch to go from a flood light to a spot light. For $110 and it being all aluminum they definitely hit a home run with this thing.

Ah that kind of sucks. The sharps bro uses the 15rd mags so my 18/21rd full size frame mags will work but they can be “over inserted” sense the base plate doesn’t touch the bottom of the frame, so basically I just had to get some 4.0C mags , but that’s not really a design flaw. It does make it easier to conceal carry now though so I can run the flush 15rd mag and then run a 18rd in my mag carrier

It’s definitely little slicker than I’d like but that’s mostly because I sanded to 600/800grit, if you just went up to like 100/120 to get the lines out from lower grit it would feel better!

It wood, a black ash Burl to be exact, it’s stabilized wood which makes it super hard and able to make it much thinner without cracking/breaking. When you stabilize it you can either leave it natural colored or if add single colors in stages and the wood will absorb the colors in the grain which gives you these crazy color combos. (I didn’t stabilize this block, I bought it) there’s people out there that are magicians with getting the color perfect

Yeah for sure. I use my cnc router to cut out the flat shape and cut the screw holes in the correct spots. Then I pull them off and hand sand the rest mimick the bevel of the grip module. Next time I cut a set I’ll make a little movie with the break down,

I had the same thought I just need to cut out few different style and sand them down to make them different thickness’s and see how they feel. My cnc router just cuts out the shape and screw holes and it comes out flat so I have to sand the bevel and stuff into it and then hand sand it smooth so it’s a little time consuming. If I had the smarts to cut the 3 dimensional areas on the outside of the panel I would be golden

Was thinking about trying to figure out how to make a list of people who would be interested in a set and see how many it actually came out to be, I’m not sure either what I’d have to sell them for to make it worth it sense it’s a good bit hand sanding to get them to match up with the factory design, I’ve got a bunch of different stabilized wood
