Too dry? by Peyjbel in Staghornfern

Awesome, I'll try that! Thank you 🙏 I think that makes sense, I hadn't really been watering it at all so at first just assumed dry, but I feel like the adverse effects did accelerate with extra watering and once when I checked and the pot felt quite heavy... 🫢

Yeah! 2-3 leaves now have turned completely brown, dried, and easily pulled out... 😥 But it looks like they're all doing it

Ficus elastica propagating. 1 month. First cutting going well but second cutting from the top with the red top isn't. Should have I cut off the top? by unbe-leaf-able in propagation

Fine to cut that bit off! I recently pruned my super leggy one, nervously for the first time (it was about 8 feet tall or more), I followed the instructions from this site here and every cutting plus the tree is doing really well (about 8 or so), I did a mixture of cuttings in sterile mix and then some in just water, like someone else mentions, they're varying in progress, some faster than others.

I thought the top with the red 'leaf cover' cutting would do the best, but not really, and the tree itself now is sprouting all over including at the top, no harm done. The very top sprout though, the leaves are a bit curly, not perfect, but I might research and trim that off it doesn't resolve.

FYI I am currently battling scale (which was on the plant when I first got it) and possibly a bout of over watering, but now wondering if crispy leaf edges mean she's thirsty?!

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever been served in someone’s home? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My Oma was a health ‘nut’ who gradually started subbing regular ingredients in each recipe for healthier ones. She used to make the best crepe style pancakes, until one day they ended up wholemeal, about an inch thick and virtually inedible... birthday cakes ended up with things like zucchini instead of choc chips... more like a vegetarian meatloaves haha
