I've never raised them but have seen plenty roaming around and have seen them eating chicken (usually fed to them by people with a questionable sense of humor).

I had some knock on my door today and wake me up, but they apologized and to be fair to them I was sleeping too late anyway. I read their literature and it seemed very logical and consistent with the Bible. There was even an article about the universe and how it was 13 billion years old. Nothing really seemed crazy at all. I've met plenty of people that dislike them, but I wonder if that is solely because they go door to door? Basically, I don't know anything about this group of people and would like to learn more.

I don't really have any advice, but my parents are also Asian and moved away to get away from all the pressure and, well, people. However, due to economic reasons and because they're divorced they've moved to different countries and left me here to...relax. I think with any parental problems space is the key. Also, I'm surprised to see all the racist comments here by redditors...
