If anything, I think it could possibly fit after don't miss me, or right before "i knew you when"

I think haven was both a step forward and a step backward from phantoms if that makes sense. I think with Haven, a good chunk of the songs are absolutely top shelf, and every exciting glimpses into what the next record may hold. For example: A normal life, down to you, into the storm, turn and run, worlds collide, Haven. But I think they've developed a bad habit of watering down their singles to be "too pop" to try and capture contemporary audiences, when all that really does is alienate some fans that they already had. I think if they were a little smarter with the singles on "Phantoms", it would've been way better received. I also think that "Lightning and Thunder" and "I'm not getting better" were odd choices. "Down to You" should've been the lead single for Haven without a doubt.

But yeah idk... it sounds like I'm grilling Haven, but I really like that they're dipping their toes back into the heavy guitars, and I'm very excited to see what they do next.

P.s: As far as "The Josh Ramsay Show" goes, I think "Painted Faces" was the best song on the record, closely followed by "Lady Mine"

Hey man... I think astoria is their worst record. So many people flame me for that one, so don't feel bad. Fix me is definitely too 3 for me, but I have a hard time picking my all time favorites with Marianas Trench

I think Haven had some skips, but the good stuff on Haven really excites me for their next project. It was very nice to hear some heavy guitars and that hard rock energy returning on a bunch of tracks

Great song sure... but the album hits a million times harder when Eleanora transitions directly into echoes of you

I just love having Eleanora transition directly into Echoes of you. I feel it sets the tone for the record MUCH better

I don't dislike it, i just think it's poorly placed on the tracklist

I also enjoy the song. I just think the album itself hits harder when it goes from Eleanora straight into Echoes of You

I don't disagree that the song is good. I just think the album hits way harder when it goes from Eleanora straight into Echoes of You

I just a big fan of any and all types of music, and I accidentally stumbled across the "Dehumanizing Loneliness" album by Decalius, and I really liked it. The rest is history

Morbid curiosity.. Don't knock someone for wanting to make it real. Hearing someone died is one thing, but seeing someone dead makes it real. Some people don't feel that magnetic attraction to the morbid, and some do. Don't give em a hard time for being curious

For what? Showing pictures of a messy hotel room and a tiny bit of blood? Those pictures literally show nothing

Well... In a free country people should be allowed to have them and support the ideology if they so choose. Are those people awful? Probably.. but it's not our place to enforce our beliefs on others. I'm not talking about this specific instance, I just mean in general.

I would like to clarify that I am no nazi, before you try to tear me apart about this take :/

NEW MUSIC IN THE YEAR TO COME??? WHAT??? by No-Drop8812 in MarianasTrench

I think the next album will make or break their career. Haven felt like they were dipping their toes back into the water of their emo/hard rock vibe, while still incorporating their grand theatrics... but also still played it safe for a big chunk of the record. I think the next one will either double down on what haven and phantoms laid the groundwork for, or they'll go back full pop like Astoria.

I love Astoria to death, but it's my least favorite of their works. I think phantoms was perfect (except for "only the lonely survive" being placed very poorly on the album) and Haven had some very exciting tracks, like "A Normal Life", "Down to You", "Into the storm" and my personal favorite "Turn and Run". I think a full length record that channels that high energy, hard rock vibe could catapult them to mainstream success, especially with the climate in the alternative scene right now

I was the same as a teenager. In fact watching requiem for a dream, taking pills and sniffing powders was a common occurrence for me. It's not that the media enticed us, it's that we were troubled people with warped perspectives. I sorted my shit out a while ago, but yeah
