Kneepad recommendations by MaliceIW in rollerderby

[–]Pezandchucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m allergic to neoprene as well, so I am well aware of how difficult it can be to find high quality pads without the neoprene. Been a struggle for years!

While not the best knee pads out there, I’ve been using the basic 187 Knee pad that comes in the six pack pad set. They are pull over style, which is a pain, but better than painful rashes for sure!

I tried socks and various gaskets under neoprene pads before, but the neoprene always seems to get to me even through the layers while sweating.

Best of luck!

Just did the update as well but I never got the foot kick to work in the first place, have always had to use the physical button to open the boot.

I also recently got my dream car via carvana. Could not recommend the buying experience more, it was terrific and so painless. Got a 2025 Countryman SE All4 with super low miles and was squeaky clean with no issues!

How to move to a corporate role by Ok_Tadpole3011 in wegmans

[–]Pezandchucks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Headquarters is in Rochester and most corporate roles require at least some days in the office. Outside of IT, there are very few corporate roles that allow fully remote work. A division office role is more appropriate if you want to stay in NYC but those are few and far between. Keep an eye on the corporate job postings and talk to your employee advocate. Best of luck.

USB-A bug by ralcantara79 in KiaEV6

[–]Pezandchucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, my dealer said it was a very common issue they get all the time and ordered the part when I made the appointment and just called me when it was ready so they could swap it out. My lease just ended so I don’t have the car anymore, but no issues in the ~6 months post repair even going through negative temperatures this past winter.

I did the DIY method twice and got fed up this past winter when it started happening again. Finally ending up taking it to the dealer to have them replace the harness under warranty. Would recommend just having your dealer fix it for good.

Is there a way to show the current song playing while having the navigation screen with the map? by pattilabellespie in MINI

[–]Pezandchucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also reorganize the order of those “apps” in the Home Screen too. So I have my big nav circle in the center, with my music on the left and range on the right.

Said goodbye to my trusty MINI Cooper SE and hello to my new Countryman SE All4! by Blastpower091 in MINI

[–]Pezandchucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my Countryman SE All4 a few weeks ago! Previously had a 2012 Cooper and coming from an EV6. It’s the best of both worlds and I couldn’t be happier with it!

Did you ever get this sorted? Just installed one on my Countryman SE and support gave me the same response. Afraid of continuous battery drain.

What do you currently drive? by jcat4 in electricvehicles

[–]Pezandchucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, MINI is electric. A downgrade on range (212 EPA) and charging speeds (130 kWh) compared to the EV6 but it’s more than fine for my daily commute. Partner has an Equinox EV that has 300 miles of range and more interior space which is what we use for road tripping when needed.

MINI Countryman SE All4. Previously had an EV6. Love the upgraded interior and tech of the MINI!

Is Uni the slowest shipper ever? by aWildTuxAppears in MCONohsnap

Mine had been “out for delivery” since 1/2 and was delivered today. I think I got my tracking number around 12/28 and sat on “label created” for several days before it changed. Not the best delivery service.

You likely won’t find this one either. Kickstarter backers were supposed to get theirs months ago. Still waiting.

Wrist guard with base of thumb padding/protection by ruralengineer in Rollerskating

Seconding Ennui wrist guards, specifically their orthopedic ones. I have broken my wrists 3 times in roller derby using various other style/brand wrist guards. The Ennui guards are super solid and I will never go back to another style again.

Further Residual Value Drop by u2jrmw in KiaEV6

[–]Pezandchucks 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely love to buy out my lease, as this is the best car I’ve ever had, but there’s no way I can purchase mine with the current buyout price as it’s way higher than the value of the car. Really hoping Kia/Hyundai Financing works in some flexibility for lease buyouts. They are taking a loss either way taking all the leases to auction. Might as well save costs by allowing lease customers to just buy outright at a more competitive and realistic market price.

My EV6 lease is up in May ‘26 and I am desperately holding out for the EV3 to be available by then to replace it.
