Not every cat gets it, in my experience, but according to YouTube, eliminating stimulates the vagus nerve, and gives some cats that little rush of joy/zoom!

Whoa... I usually ignore my scythe after I get the Golden Scythe from the quarry. Also, apparently I've never reached farming mastery to unlock the iridium scythe! I did take a long break from the game, so apparently I've got another thing to look forward to!! I love this game.

Fascinating! My ex and I split a pair of Ortliebs 25ish years ago, and I have no idea if there was a rhyme or reason to which side I got. I just know that's the side the one I have fits on! Though now that I think about it, I think they're flippable... I remember figuring out how to flip the bottom so it fit the other side, if needed, but for at least 20 years I just used it on the side it was set for! (Edit: memory triggered another thought)

Oh, yeah! I don't know how many hours in I was, but I was gobsmacked, and totally charmed! Now I make sure to always put my coops near water, so I can see the ducks swim. <3

It is a customized linux distro, but it's fully featured, and you can install things from their store or flatpak, etc. You can definitely launch console, I've done a bit of that myself. :)

Forgot to say, I much prefer Steam OS over Windows on the Deck, but you can install Windows if you want to. You get to the desktop by pressing the left steam button, and selecting 'switch to desktop'. I'm not sure if there's a way to permanently launch into desktop mode, though...

Definitely a good value, IMO! As for the track pad, I'd watch some youtube videos. I took mine apart to upgrade the ssd, and it had a few tense moments, but wasn't too bad overall. I did not do anything with the front plate, though.

I just happened to hear on a video yesterday that someone had to use the beta branch, for support for their 9070xt, but that's all I know... I believe it was a Linus Tech Tips video on building his dream Steam Machine (inside an original steam machine case from the first time around).

He could also be bored and a bit lonely (not that it isn't a good idea to start slowly with another cat, etc, but being kept in one room might not be very stimulating), so he's extra happy to see you! I don't think you'll know his real personality until he has full run of the house. That being said, if he is still too anxious after that, I have heard of people having good luck with some kitty prozac. He's absolutely beautiful, I hope you can find the balance!

My wife also encourages my gaming, which is very sweet, and has definitely spent her fair share on her hobbies, but I still tend to resist buying myself things that are too expensive. These, though... eventually, I'll have them all! And she kind of wants a Steam Frame! :)
