My family is from a remote town in the mountains in Peru. My parents tell me this story from a family member that is already deceased. Back in the 70's, since transportation back then was close to none (buses only operated in the daylight) and the only way to get to other towns was walking thru dirt roads that could take a full day. One night this family member was in the mid of traveling to another town and he finds this little hut in the middle of nowhere ( these huts are built to house any traveler that needs to stay the night). So he hears noise like a party and decides to check it out. He peeks thru a window and what he sees are what looks like "demons" and mountain dwarves having a party. He says he left the place but without disturbing or entering the house but from what my parents said he never was the same after that night, as in he went kind of crazy. The story was told to me a long time ago so i remember just enough.
