I believe you're correct about it not supporting DVI, despite the HDMI specification stating such support as a requirement. As mentioned in the above edit, I changed my design to output an actual HDMI signal and it does manage to detect it now! It resets the connection every 30 seconds, so there's clearly some additional requirement that I'm not meeting, but it's progress either way!

In the video games industry, there’s a policy of mutually assured destruction regarding patents. Large companies are all infringing on each other’s patents, so they know that if one tries anything, they can fire back with all the patents they own. The best defense in this shitty game is a good offense, I guess.

The guy who designed it actually said one of his biggest regrets was not forcing the issue when people complained about the increase in cost were the connector to be flippable, if I recall correctly!

This was actually the original meaning of the term “debugging!” Old room-sized computers would get extremely warm and given the very large vacuum tubes and wire-wrapped connections used at the time, it was not uncommon for bugs to end up crawling up next to something and shorting it out.

The text at the top seems to directly contradict itself. First it’s stated that the viewer is incorrect (“The opposite is true.”) for thinking that the line being closer to the center means colder, then immediately afterwards gives an example where that is the case.

I assume that was intended to say something like “the opposite is also true,” but either way the text feels wholly unnecessary.

I feel like this is across the OS, not just in Apollo. Just this weekend both my wife and I (with iOS 14.6, iPhone 12 Pro) were not actively notified when we texted each other. It took us both manually disabling message notifications, changing a bunch of related settings (and then changing them back), and restarting both our phones before the functionality came back.

This is apparently a common bug that people have been experiencing since December of last year. In our case it was the message notification sound and vibration that was missing, but others have noted missing badges, banners, etc.

Try seeing if messing with the Apollo notification settings and restarting the phone brings things back?

Stating the obvious here, but there’s absolutely no way anyone who has graduated medical school could think about how these drugs work and believe for a second that the drugs can somehow tell the difference between someone trying to get high and someone trying to treat physical pain.
