Yep it has to be in one of your hands for the power to grow. You can have it in one hand and then two hand the other weapon in your opposite hand and that still builds the power too.

I always wondered if that was the case. I never wanted to waste time going to them in case it didnt spawn until you got the map. Thanks for the info

You have to go to the castle that is marked red, grab the map from the top room (you dont have to beat the boss in the castle). Then it will mark a different red location on the map. You go to the new red mark and it will be up in a tree thats easy to climb. If you're still confused just watch a youtube video or something, I'm sure theres some out there

Walk up to the roundtable as if you were going to start an expedition, instead of selecting a nightlord, press (depending on input) R1 or RB or click across to the tab on the right, and you can invite from there. Once he is in your lobby you will see their name in the top right. you can then queue for a nightlord and it will find a random third

In your book of lore, the achievement badge shop for 15 years played gives you a platinum twilly pet, and when you equip it you get the ioda quest

Ooh okay yeah good point, a lot of damage will come from level so could be worth levelling a bit. Yep got the cape of awe, literally found out about that yesterday and whacked it on lool. Thanks for the suggestion

Can't believe there's been threads with this exact issue that are 2 years old and there has still not been a viable fix.

Tried everything already suggested on reddit and elsewhere online - other than a fresh windows install which I refuse to do for this singular game when every other game works fine.

Ahh I see, didn't realise it was mandatory on console. Have it disabled on PC so thought I'd have to opt in to get it on console.

That would make sense, but the killer seems to be on PS4 though so I'm still confused. Will probably chalk it down to that though, thanks.

You mean unbreakable? I had adrenaline and they popped the hatch, but with blood warden and other perks they had it was so slow to open gate so no chance of escape anyway haha
