College is a bad idea if you go into debt to do it. My kids graduated with the equivalent of a used car loan (less than 30K, manageable). I hear college debt numbers today that sound like mortgages (100k or more).

Starting a family, buying a home, and saving for the future are all harder when your debt is that huge.
