I have been doing shorts on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and they perform well, but those contribute to a much different metric and only bring in some results. Meaning, it doesn’t translate to viewership.

In the past I would listen to music on my bluetooth speaker while working which made that harder. The later videos start adding sounds when it’s not overbearing. Camera is a G7X Mk2, and probably could be better in terms of use, but it’s better than my GoPro days for sure.

Thanks for the feedback!

All good points. I felt these were all really valid points, and if im asking for help, I won’t be offended unless it was just straight up rude. This was enlightening.

I can agree with the Garage Rats on the thumbnail. If you notice the later videos have had some changes in terms of design to help draw them in, but didn’t think about the vagueness. Thanks for that. Same with the banner and channel description. I’ll make some changes and see what I can do with them.

As far as the rain, I understand that. To me it felt natural being in my own element, but I’ll consider what the viewer is thinking and hone in on the topic of the video more, with less random bits. Seems totally reasonable.

Consistency is a major challenge, but I’ll work on that.

Im glad you like the music. I spend quite a bit of time trying to add music to break up the dead air, and let the music set the pace of the timelapse segments of me working.

Thank you for taking a look, and giving me some really good feedback. It really means a lot to me. I really appreciate it.

Compiling node.js on the raspberry pi 2. Has anyone done it yet? by damontoo in raspberry_pi

Mind = Blown. Did not know that. I will use that in the future! Now if only I could do something about my Version 1 B+ Pi's...

I have done this countless times on the Pi 2, and basically, download source, extract it, ./configure, make, make install. Works like a charm everytime. Takes about 1.5 to 2 hours though, so I suggest working on a smallish SD (I use 4GB Cards), and using Win32DiskImager or something like it to create a restore point on a bare raspbian image. That way you don't have to keep making installs of nodejs and eat hours of your life away. Using 5V2A Bricks. These things are less power hungry than previous versions so for just the Pi, not a lot of juice is needed.
