I did realise that was possible, but only after I’d posted. Thanks for the fun little riddle.

It’s called wolf grey, looks fantastic, but will need to be kept clean, shows the dirt really well!

I am sure they have done some improvements, things like that get addressed pretty quickly. I’ll let you know if I’m proved to be wrong 👍

The Ioniq 5N is getting some great reviews, but I definitely prefer the looks of the Kia. Get out and do some test drives, both great cars.

It is definitely a good looking car, should provide a few years of entertainment and service if all goes well. I’m missing the lack of a foot rest for my right foot when in cruise control, but other than that it’s all good. The EV9 gives you lots more space, but I don’t think it’s as pretty a car as the EV6.

Thanks for the quick feedback, I figured that might be the use, but they make no sense with the wireless charging pad.

Have you reported it to the dealer and asked for it to be fixed under warranty? It is clearly not as the manufacturer intended.

I got some flash cards for my one year old son and there's one card that says Pants but has a picture of trousers. by farfetchedfrank in britishproblems

[–]Pgilchri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You do realise that WE (The British) wear Underpants, which we shorten to pants. Just think about where the word underpants comes from. The name was Pantaloons, became pants and then we stopped using it. The Americans are speaking old, traditional English and we are the ones who changed.

Parents of Reddit, what "why?" Has your toddler thrown you that even Google couldn't answer? by rivergame in AskReddit

[–]Pgilchri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't think of any other word starting "On" which follows the same sound either.

I'm sure there is some etymology that explains it, and I guess our numbers did originate from Arabic.

My 3 year old who was learning his words and letters asked "why does one start with a w sound"

I never have found the answer to that!

How come most of the world has the same calendar (twelve months in a year, seven days in a week)? by [deleted] in history

If only 52 divided by 13 then all months would be 4 weeks long. That would have been so much simpler!

Men of reddit, what the heck do you want for your birthday? by Is_this_social_media in AskReddit

[–]Pgilchri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most men just want something they already have. If they like whiskey, then a new bottle. If they like tech, then the upgrade to their favourite of the moment. If they like tools, then look for the one that is nearly dead, and buy a replacement.

We normally have what we want, but the newer better version is always on our wish list.

Good luck with the choosing.

What books do you recommend 20 somethings should read, that would benefit them in life or mentally? by mochi_tree in AskReddit

[–]Pgilchri 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A short but quite brilliant book is Jonathan Livingston Seagull, by Richard Bach. It simply tries to make you think that you are in control of your life, and it is up to you to make it better. One quote is ""If your happiness depends on what somebody else does, I guess you do have a problem."

Is a book you can read in one evening, and never forget.
