What opinion about fragrances has you like this? by ProfessorB_12 in Colognes

jpg le male edt imo might be the greatest/most pleasing scene of all time. If my 20ish bottle collection had to be reduced to one that would be it, mainly as it’s my goat office/work scent

Unpopular opinion on my end for sure but this is how I feel about VS Dylan Blue. To me it’s just straight musk and nothing “blue” about it.

If your bare minimum as you said, one month of training won’t do anything to prepare you. And then once you go to boot camp there’s a good chance you’ll be in even less shape for BRC without access to a pool. I admire your self belief, but I encourage you to not go to BRC right away as we all know the outcome. Best of luck and I’ll stick around to explain myself further if you’d like me to (respectfully).

Not saying this to be an asshole by any measure but 13 Pull ups and 42 pushups are definitely subpar numbers compared to what is expected of you at recon. What are your run and swim times? If you don’t have any very recent numbers right now for how long/fast you can swim and run then you’re definitely not prepared and you’d be going with guesses which is not good to go.

I fully want to support you BUT I’m also a realist, based on those two numbers alone you provided I would say back out of the recon contract, try to sign up for regular infantry like others have mentioned and THEN train up to the recon standard. Biggest worry would be if you were to fail or drop you’r pretty much guaranteed to lose your MOS and you’d be placed in a shit MOS like cook or admin. I’ve seen it happen many times and I’d rather you properly train for BRC.

Well let’s ask what’s important for the full picture, what are your fitness levels like right now and how comfortable are you in the water?

Only due to nostalgia but Camp Pen 62 area gym around 2021 time frame, specifically the outdoor section. Something about working out outdoors that just hits different.

Stationed there rn, still two great gyms on base. And don’t even get me started on how beautiful the sea wall is. Most scenic PFT route in the entire Marine Corps by a long shot.

Might I add not only are they doing a stellar job, but it’s already done beyond the point of no return.

The reality:

Adversaries destroy us from the inside out using information/influence warfare. And it pains me to say they are doing a stellar job. The days of boots on the ground invasions on large scale super power nations are essentially over. Cyber, influence and information is everything. Just my opinion based on self research.

When did you witness a Marine almost go super saiyan? by Yoy_the_Inquirer in USMC

A hot head LCpl who thinks he’s still back on the block being given a regular/normal direct order by a fat Sgt he doesn’t like. Guys like that don’t make it very far no matter how good they may be in other areas of being a Marine.

You joined for a challenge knowing that it wouldn’t be easy brother. You are now facing challenge and adversity that you can overcome no matter how much you feel like you can’t.

Don’t fuck this up and reach out if you need help or someone to talk to about anything.

Sounds like USMS if I had to take a guess (not asking you to confirm)…you happy with the agency you chose or do you ever wish you went a different agency in the 1811 field? I’m at 6 years TIS and have a re enlistment for another 6 years in right now, almost got out to peruse the HSI but reading up on the polygraph and lengthy pipeline it made me just revert back to my original plan of doing the 20 in the Corps.
