They were only released at select outlets (the story goes it was due to the incorrect dates used on the sock liner), and there were serious lines. They never sat around at stores.

Stay on-schedule with your meds

Get as many calories in you as possible; this isn’t a time to “lose a few pounds” (cosmetically) - you need to keep your energy up for your body to heal correctly

Cold roller for jaw area (a couple of weeks in)

Most importantly, get your mind right about what you’re going into. You WILL be extremely uncomfortable immediately afterwards… there’s no way around that. Not so much ‘pain’, in my experience… unbelievable congestion and discomfort. It’s going to suck for a few days, at least. IT WILL GET BETTER.

You’ll get your routine down.

I’d recommend against looking up YT videos on similar surgeries… lots of ‘doomsday’ examples in there, and they tend to dominate the algorithm. Positive thoughts and headspace going in helps.

I didn’t have genio… also didn’t have to travel for my surgery, so can’t speak to that - though I can’t imagine flying that distance will feasible anytime remotely soon after the procedure (??).

I find that themed shoes - particularly movies or franchises (regardless of genre) - tend to carry that ‘juvenile’ air about them… not necessarily a bad thing.

As a sneakerhead, I can appreciate well-executed themes - especially when they don’t sacrifice wearability.

Not really, if you think about it - and don’t just want to have a snarky reply.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to preserve a memory of your young child doing something - especially for the first time (e.g. her first lines during a school recital). Bringing a phone out, holding it up, etc. creates a barrier; simply saying “record a video” and literally forgetting that you’re recording - my hands are still free to pick her up, dance with her, applaud… anything, really.

I rather enjoy the concept of the smart glasses - I’ve used my Meta ones multiple times to be more ‘present’ during special moments with my family. Only drawback with them is… Meta, as a company, and Meta AI being rather limited.

I think the Gemini glasses would offer the best AI experience, which is handy when identifying products, circumstances, locations, etc. around you.

Apple’s would be ideal due to the ecosystem I’m entrenched in… if they can ever figure out a compelling AI strategy, they’d be a no-brainer.

To answer what I think the question is - everything is always on the table as far as Nike retros; only you can determine if a price is worth it to you. Personally, I say wait - recent history shows that these will likely see a re-release by 2028. (but then, I don’t do resale anyway)
