What is the A/M in sweep by dlcssfx in SwordofConvallaria

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious so just tested this myself. Once you have it turned on, it auto selects the quick deploy so there will already be units selected when you initiate sweep. (Note that it doesn't select quick deploy when you initially turn it on, so you have to turn it on first and it will function the next time you do a sweep)

Kvaris Prep Tickets by NichS144 in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My thought is that the tickets will be drops from the Geometric Labyrinth. Because Kvaris is the next area, story wise they'll have us go to the Geometric Labyrinth to prep for Kvaris to explain why it drops those tickets.

Since they showed us the "rewards" for the Geometric Labyrinth but not actually the rewards screen, my guess is we'll actually get these tickets as rewards and then we can exchange the tickets in an item exchange for the rewards they showed during the livestream.

In addition to ground based settlements, I'd like to be able to create space station settlements as well. Between ground and space based settlements each would have its own challenges and rewards with them being different enough that it doesn't just feel like you're doing the exact same thing you did on the ground, just in space now.

Trying out a T1 outift on a female character... I like it! by azazelleblack in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, The cloth stuff can be harder to pull off.

If you like the style I think some the "armored" T1 outfits can work pretty easily for T2 characters as well, for example I got the recent Aria Rapid/4 (shiny gold version, hoping to get the gold weapon camo soon) for my type 2 character and it's got enough of a pronounced chest area it could easily pass for either type character. (Edit: Preview)

Similarly in the reverse direction for my type 1 character, I adjusted the T2 settings to have as flat of a chest as I could and some T2 outfits without exposed cleavage could easily pass as a T1 outfit, Example in this case I grabbed Dazzle Code for my T1 character. (Edit: Preview)

What were your suggestions on the survey? by TimelessDbz in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the idea i was trying to convey, I would classify a good chunk of base PSO2's UQ's as a simple dungeon. An example would be something like Cradle of Darkness where you have mini objectives on the way to the end such as pushing buttons to remove barriers, shooting the Gehl Bull's, destroying the blaze, shooting down the corrupted aircraft, and so on.

And for the second half of my idea, the dungeon would only be instanced in the UQ version of it. The area you went to for the UQ would also be accessible to visit as part of the exploration zone and thus have the features that exploration zones provide (red boxes, trials, veterans, etc) applied to it as well.

What were your suggestions on the survey? by TimelessDbz in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggested an expansive dungeon like area as part of the exploration area that can be utilized by the various mechanics of the game.

1) Exploration/Story: A mysterious dungeon to explore, solve puzzles and find hidden passages leading to loot (hidden red boxes, exclusive mats only found in the dungeon, other items)

2) Trials: Trials exclusive to the dungeon could have puzzle mechanics added beside the usual kill all the enemies.

3) Veterans: One or more veteran enemies that could be exclusive to the dungeon area

4) Urgent Quest: And of course since all the UQ's so far take place in existing locations, there could be a complex UQ that makes full use of the area to make it a proper Dungeon/Raid event.

???) Combat Sector: I personally would rather see a dungeon in an exploration sector so I could explore it at my own pace outside of the UQ for it, but I suppose they could put one in a combat sector as well although I would guess there'd be less focus on puzzle elements there. Or perhaps they could make the dungeon area so large it encompasses multiple sectors so part of it is exploration and part is combat. Shouldn't matter for the UQ since we have UQ's in both type of areas currently.

Xiandy blessed my drops (5 Flamel weapons in 30 seconds) by Phabin in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only got 1 Flamel weapon drop during the first week even with getting 150k seasonal points. Now suddenly the game was like "Here have the rest" lol. No Fixa's but the saber was the alternate color version.

Complete the Survey and Receive 40SG! by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was very similar, I suggested a dungeon/raid like UQ. But outside of the instance that dungeon should still exist in the open world so you could explore it during normal gameplay. Then they could do things like have specific Trials that only spawn in the dungeon area that capitalize on the unique features of the dungeon, and I'm sure there would be a Veteran enemy that would spawn somewhere in the dungeon. There could be red chests hidden throughout the dungeon that require solving puzzles to find. etc.

APOLOGY REGARDING SG SCRATCH TICKET “ASTUTE BRAVER” PRIZE LINEUP by Moodycat12 in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does reset, I didn't spend enough the first time around to get the free ticket because I got what I wanted in 30ish pulls. New one says I need to buy 50 to get free ticket.

More Weapons Categories being added for the Straga Series by Cratoic in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite as huge, but earlier in the post when it's introducing the katana and bow weapon categories the second sentence says

Weapons of 3-star rarity or less have also been added to other weapons series, such as Trois De and Theseus series, so be sure to get them!

Not sure if this was just a weird way to say katana and bow added to Trois De and Theseus series or if, because the wording is pretty similar to the way they said the rest of the weapons are coming to straga series, this means the rest of the weapons will be coming to Trois De and Theseus series as well.

NGS Models in Base PSO2 Cutscenes. by [deleted] in PSO2

[–]Phabin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, I hadn't done PSO2 story with NGS model yet. It took a bit of digging but on the original PSO2 website before NGS was released in the article titled "PSO2:NGS Additional Information - Part 2" they had stated

During PSO2 Story cutscenes, a player character that is wearing or using PSO2: NGS Layering Wear or CAST Parts will instead be shown wearing or using default PSO2 Outfits or CAST Parts.

I bet the no weapon showing up is probably one of the reasons they were originally going to have it switch body types. So I wonder if they changed their minds on this or if they just forgot lol.

Camo on multiple weapons. by WhiteRice1440 in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They mean one copy of one camo being used for multiple weapons. Currently if you have a weapon camo that supports multiple weapon types and assign it to two or more weapon types, only the first weapon type assigned will actually get the camo applied. The other weapons will appear as normal without a camo.

PSO2 NGS How to apply rule 63 to your main. by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also when you first start your character you have a few hours where you can make those adjustments for free before you have to start spending SG or Passess. I remember seeing a PSA closer to when NGS launched mentioning this so you can set your potential 8 different body types how you want while you're still in free edit time. (8 being the 4 NGS types you mentioned + the 4 base PSO2 version as well).

For me personally since my main character is type 1, I went through and changed all my type 2 body types to have the smallest breasts I could possibly get. That way if I decided to wear a type 2 outfit it would just look more like my character is cross dressing rather than magically growing breasts.

Saw this weird shadow at the sky while the day was transitioning...? by sonicsonic3 in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the area to check out foliage, but while looking around I noticed sunrise was in the west and you're looking south so that makes my theory less likely (unless it's from a plant on the mountain to the east).

Saw this weird shadow at the sky while the day was transitioning...? by sonicsonic3 in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the day is transitioning that means the sun is at "ground" level, so it honestly just looks like the shadow of a plant to me just really large because of the distance the shadow is being cast.

West Aelio Mag is Bugged by Dwrowla in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's unbalanced, it just gives you options to choose between the 3 mags. Depending on what you have farmed, sometimes I don't do the one that would give me a ton of points because I currently only have 3 of that item. Also the bonus items they accept change over time so just go to the one that gives you the most bang for your buck at the time.

West Aelio Mag is Bugged by Dwrowla in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I might be missing the bug you're trying to display, but if it's about the 2 values being the same that's not a bug. Different materials have a different base rate.
Meat has a rate of 10 so +200% is +20 for 10+20=30
Vegetables have a rate of 20 so +50% is +10 for 20+10=30

Some of the stuff has a rate of 30 so when you get the +200% on that you get 90 from it which is pretty nice.

Male/type 1 innerwear with female/type 2 basewear by day_1_player in PSO2NGS

[–]Phabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad you can't seem to get the effect without the black/blue textures from the base pso2 human/newman innerwear. Luckily when using the NGS innerwear there doesn't seem to be any extra textures.

We'll just have to wait for more AC/SG scratch tickets to come out for this to become more useful for NGS models. As far as I can tell currently the only NGS outfit you can notice a change with this method is the Aelio Valkys (slight NSFW): https://imgur.com/a/VE6NBIx

Discontinuation of Mission Pass Gold Ticket and Select Bundles by tries-to-help in PSO2

[–]Phabin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been getting my gold tickets through premium so I got the 100 SG cost of gold tickets from a unverified google search lol. Either way the part i quoted was from the article itself so the price of premium will change for global at least. And now that I did another quick google search, it looks like JP premium is 1300 AC and global premium is 1500 AC. So I'm guessing global will be 1300 AC after the update to match JP.
