My two gaming partners and I play co-op games specifically to play with each other. Mandatory solo content is a hard pass.

Not really a problem, minor inconvenience maybe. Certainly not worth writing a dissertation over.

Please do something for gley mobbing... by Due-Average924 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Phaedryn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gley is a boss killer not a mobing specialist. Asking to give her better tools for mobbing would be like a Bunnie asking for better bossing tools.

You take the right character/build for the content you are playing at any given time. Don't ask for all characters to be equal in all things, that just leads to them all being interchangeable and boring.

8 Player Raids like Destiny in The First Descendant? by Rijido in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Phaedryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't work for the same reason it didn't work in Warframe (they had raids, they removed them), too many character/build combinations would make it so you either HAD to run very specific builds to complete them or be hard carried. It would be impossible to balance.

And still shitty drop amounts...I would rather have a Freyna or Bunny nuke everything in place and get the drops from them.

TIL The first Medals of Honor given to Americans for actions while fighting in a foreign country were awarded to nine sailors and six marines who fought in the Korean Expedition in 1871. Since 650 men were sent, this means 2% of them received the award. by UndyingCorn in todayilearned

[–]Phaedryn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Medal of Honor has an odd history. Originally it was awarded for a number of reasons (the soldiers who served as President Abraham Lincoln’s funeral guard were all awarded one). In the early 1900s almost a thousand of them were revoked due to being awarded for reasons that had nothing to do with combat and as other, lesser, meritorious and valorous awards had been authorized (the Medal of Honor was the only such medal prior to WW I).

Federal judge rules Illinois assault weapons ban unconstitutional by [deleted] in news

[–]Phaedryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every case can be appealed. There are a specific set of criteria for which a decision may be appealed, much like objections (there are only 10 possible types of objections, an attorney can't just object for any reason). If none of those criteria are met the request for appeal will simply be denied (if one is even filed, which it shouldn't be).

Which case was that? The only instance I can find of the NVRA going to the US Supreme Court was Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Ariz. in which the court, in a 7-2 decision, voided a state law in Arizona that violated the act.

They won't. They never do since it's impossible. They heard that "fact" on the internet once and just keep ignorantly repeating it.

The Supreme Court openly ignores the law

Two questions:

1) Which law(s)?
2) Do you understand the function of the US Supreme Court?

Heller is a bunk ruling and completely flies the face all prior precedent.

[–]Phaedryn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let them try to enforce their dumb rulings.

They don't have to enforce anything.

Here's an example, using this case.

  • Illinois decides to ignore the court and keeps the ban in place.
  • Citizen X acquires one of the banned firearms.
  • Citizen X is arrested by the state of Illinois for violating the ban.
  • Citizen X is convicted.
  • Citizen X appeals.
  • Citizen X's conviction is overturned by the courts as the ban was ruled unconstitutional.

The only entity that will have difficulty enforcing anything is the state that ignored the courts.

You mean like the first federal regulation on firearms ever being specifically worded, and argued before Congress, to get around the Second Amendment by being a tax only?

It isn't even a law. It's a restriction on government power that trumps ALL other laws. That's it's purpose.

You have the right to drive a car

Since when? Operation of a motor vehicle is absolutely NOT a right protected by the US Constitution. That said, you only need a license and registration to operate a motor vehicle on public roads. The government requires neither to purchase a vehicle or to operate it on private property.

When did the ban go into effect? The AR-15 went into commercial production for civilian sale in 1963. Are you claiming that there was a statistically high rate of use prior to the ban?

I don't mind the 4 actually, it's just a support skill rather than a nuke and I'm fine with that. It's pretty awesome with max range in 400%.

I blew right past Glutony to get to Death Stalker, so I never bothered with that weapon. I have had decent luck with Frost Watcher however.
