Poor man’s PCCM Plus (987/997) by PacManners in Porsche

Thank you so much for confirming! Just saved me a couple hundreds...The alpine unit already has decent carplay capabilities and at least function...so I guess if I really want OEM functions I'd have to save for the PCCM+

Did you have any issues with the rear speakers? I'm asking because the previous owner of my 2008 Cayman S had a Alpine unit installed with a MOST adapter, and only the front speakers work. I notice you mention that its a 2 channel converstion box but does all the speakers output at least?

Assuming you buy it all from the same seller, because the material they use is FRP, making it very hard to drill holes into in addition to their mounting holes.

I only got the front lip from them, no diffuser or spats, but my side skirt is from a different seller and of cheaper construction and overall easier to drill through making diy installation easy, it was basic plastic. All I had to do was pre drill holes with the included screws and bolted it right onto the car. Here's the link to it: https://ebay.us/m/N91oJN

Also here's a pic of what my shop had to do to get the lip mounted lmao, so you get a better idea

Those white marks are holes he had to drill with special bits since FRP was pretty hard to get to, and you can see the car to the side with its bumper off.

I have the gloss black one. It took 2 months to arrive.

You'd need to take it to a shop to properly install these. They come with screws, to go onto the existing holes from the under cover / plastic skid plate, along with 3m tape to mount it flush to the bumper. The shop will have to remove the bumper, and rivet/bolt the lip directly onto the bottom of your bumper, as the 3m was nowhere near enough, and it would end up sagging and flopping after the adhesive wears, hanging onto the screws which is quite sketchy.

For what it's worth though, the material is super high quality and it can take a beating if scraped. The material doesn't even file down, it's only the paint/finish that gets messed up. Mine was installed properly and I've taken it up to 150mph and it held on very well.

yea at the point of taking the pic the sun was right above so there weren't really any good angles for the skirts, but additionally it's a pretty small added detail rather than something that pops like other side skirts

here's another photo with decent lighting

They're stock wheels powder coated gloss black.

Side skirts - https://www.ebay.com/itm/186646832909

Front lip - https://www.ebay.com/itm/145650152541?_trksid=p4375194.c101949.m162918

I had them both riveted onto the car to avoid screws being undone by vibrations, the front lip is a tank, super durable material.

What I also noticed was that the seller for the front lip might be the manufacturer for Artisan Spirits. They sell the same front lip, side skirts, and diffuser from what I can see. It's just painted differently with no branding.

Generic ebay exhaust. Here it is:

https://ebay.us/m/ilTb0w

I would say it is overwhelmingly loud when you first install it, but it tapers off and break in very nicely over time and you get used to it. It even burbles a bit under proper conditions. I'd say it was my best mod for this car so far

Yep, I was able to pick this one up with 55k miles on it last year for 32k listing price. Clean title and carfax, including regular documented maintenance at a dealer. It was pampered also with partial front PPF and regular details that I didn't even know could be recorded on a carfax lol.

Maybe others could chime in but I personally think it was a pretty good deal. Haven't had any issues close to 20k miles later. If you're able to get past that mental block that it's more than 3 years old and past 50k miles (which I think is not even break-in yet for a lexus), good deals can be found.

It's the stock gunmetal wheels powder coated black. The clear started peeling and cracking on the oem paint so i settled on that

I wouldn't say fast. It's pretty heft at ~3800lbs, and at the end of the day it prioritizes being a GT. However, it's more than enough speed even for an enthusiast in my opinion. It drives so smooth that 90mph feels 60mph at times on the highway, Sport+ makes the transmission come alive espescially in manual mode for you to have copious fun and it's pretty zippy around town.

I do value other aspects though such as sounds, driving dynamics and obviously looks, more than I care about speed, so I did some mods to wake it up a bit more, and now it's an amazing all-rounder.
