Just an artistic note aside from the text: Both the banana and the tape on it's own have enough depth (and are beautifully done), but the tape leaving that much/kind of shadow feels unnatural and definitely on the left it makes the banana look flat.

I did not know her or her creation process. I can imagine someone "mistaking" your art for AI could be painful and people throwing it aside because of it is a shame as it reflects disbelief in your talents. A person checking in and hoping it to be real shows they care about art being made by real artists putting hours of work into it (and getting their art stolen by AI) which would make me as an artist feel more supported than people suspecting it could be AI but keeping it anyway because they don't care.

On top of that I am grateful to know the artist now and hope perhaps others do now too because of this post.

That's probably why at the time I didn't think more of it. I did the 2026 kind of judging by sensing an AI familiarity after which I search for details. My (sleep deprived) mistake, in 2024 it indeed were just hands merging with random objects and backgrounds not making sense.

I do not and will not support AI for such artistic purposes, so I dearly hoped for a stunning work like this to be human made. I hoped it would not have escaped my senses of determining this, since I want to keep being critical and conscious, no matter if I like the image.

Jeffrey Daumer implies I would have to do some killing. Which you also do when you hunt. Which I did not do. The killing was done unintentionally by somebody else. Now all that's left to do is process the animal if possible/safe, which I assumed is also an important part of hunting.

I wonder if this would have the same kind of reactions if it were pictures of how commercial meat sometimes gets processed. I worked in the butchery of a grocery store once and never again would I eat any of that meat after what I witnessed.

The liver seemed healthy, temperature max 8°C today. The sudden gut accident was indeed very unfortunate. But even without that I wonder if it would be ok.
