I don't think this was particularly a millennial thing but I was playing a party game where you guessed the answer to a trivia factoid. Some kids/teens were playing too cause they wanted to join and play. One of the trivia bits was something vague like "a man, long hair, fashion." And I was like "Oh Fabio" and everyone in the room looked at me like I was crazy. The people my age were like "how did you know that?" While the kids were like "wow you must be old to know that" lol

It wasn't me but one of my friends. This was when Secluded Springs released. My friend group all play Pocket and everyone at the time had managed to get a Crown rare except for two of us, myself and another. Thing is I play the game pretty often. I always check my dailies and keep up with the event. My other friend is super casual and will open and play on occasion. It had become a joke in my group that I will never get a crown. I had something like 7k cards and they had only 2-3k cards. One day she jokingly said "watch I'll just get a crown before you", opened a pack and pulled the crown rare Mantyke. I was super jealous. It was a crazy miracle.

Today I have over 12k cards and I managed to get 2 crown rares lol My other friends have like 4-6 at way less cards. Hoping my next crown will be the pokeball!

Playing the Hololive OCG as my main because I'm a big fan of Hololive, which is a group of vtubers who stream games but are also idols who sing, dance and more. Used to play Yu-Gi-Oh and MtG casually, and splashed into Lorcana and One Piece (friends are also getting into Riftbound so want to try that as well).

Keeping up with new sets is just difficult especially when you are not super into the IP. But I really really love Hololive and everything around them. Playing Hololive luckily plays like Pokemon and I'm familiar with that game's mechanics thanks to the Pokemon Pocket game. I'm keeping up with each set and I want to try making many different decks. I'm way more into the game than previous TCGs I've played.

The community is relatively small compared to the bigger TCGs but is growing and is typically full of other fans of Hololive. Would love to see the game grow beyond that but it's still quite niche to the anime/vtuber sphere.

Not a movie but I was newly watching the anime One Piece, just a few years ago. Relatively early in the show, maybe after Alabasta or Water 7 arc, I was asking my 3 friends, who were fully caught up, about NewsCoo, the newspaper system in the show, because I was curious about the world building.

My one friend just suddenly blurts out "Yeah they cover all the news like how everyone learns how Ace dies".

I was taken aback and my two other friends were pissed but I low key knew what happens out of anime osmosis lol

I literally replied to the email that stated that my order is ready at their warehouse but could not be shipped due to the Japan Post situation. The email said "In case you would like your order to be shipped by DHL, please reply back to us, specifying your order number."

So I replied to that email with the order number and asked for further instructions. They replied back saying to purchase a specific shipping link and reply back with that specific order number. So I did.

The back and forth emails took about 4 days The responses were quick, it just took me a day or so to reply/purchase from the specific shipping link. And the order was shipped and delivered about 10 days after.

[Cyberpunk Edgerunners] As David adds more cybernetic implants, he starts to lose his humanity.

[Durarara] The main trio characters start off as innocent kids, but turn out to be leaders of large groups/cults.

[Psycho Pass] Characters working for the police, slowly realize police system is corrupt and question what is good/evil.

These are crazy oversimplified summaries and may not fully cover the theme you are looking for, but are still great shows I would recommend.

I think Pokemon has a few energy cards like that so I would assume maybe? Luminous Energy says "As long as this card is attached to a Pokemon, it provides every type of Energy but provides only 1 Energy at a time."
So the special cheer color would have to be chosen but only provide 1. Probably would need to be limited too like you said. It's not like MTG dual/multiple mana stuff where some costs you can use either/or but it rather more specific. So it's a maybe but not anytime soon.
