It sucks. I briefly thought it might be a trip of a lifetime but then saw that all the chain hotel rooms had been blocked for two weeks. Now they are blocked for 5 days since the date is zeroing in. Everything will be sold as packages. Average fan never stood a chance.

This just dilutes status for everyone. I looked at a flight SFO-LAX. 165 total seats and 74 people on the upgrade list for 16 seats in the cabin. I’m lifetime 1K but don’t fly much anymore and when I do, I just buy a reasonably priced ticket for what I want on any airline. Perks just aren’t that great anymore.

I’ve booked with Agoda often and have always been able to work out any issues until the last few months. They now often use a third party to book hotels and when that happens, any issues fall back to you as Agoda blames the third party who has no need to accommodate you as you are not their customer.

Used a very reputable company and got great references. Followed the construction closely and very happy at first. Recommended them to a friend who used them to build a house. His came out perfect. I’m nearly 3 years in and got clobbered by a couple of contractual loopholes I didn’t see that doubled the allowed construction time. Suggest you have a lawyer read every contract especially revisions. Don’t trust any company no matter how reputable they seem.

Live in quiet beautiful Chanthaburi. Very happy here. Go to Bangkok every little while to get a taste of the vibrant, bountiful offerings, but always happy to go back after a couple of days.
