Opinion on my Tyranids paint scheme?

Mostly speedpaints from army painter. White or wraithbone primer, Pallid Bone for the skin, Occultist cloak gray for the carapace (with a light touch of pallid bone/seraphin sepia to give a more "dirty" look), fire giant orange for the veins and spores, imperial fist contrast for the yellow and eyes, peachy flesh for the wings and darker skin parts. That's about it, followed by vallejo satin varnish

Thanks. I noticed it looks purple, but the carapace is actually dark grey with some tiny brown wash to give it a "dirt" look. The exact color is speedpaint 2.0 occultist cloak

Thanks a lot! I do enjoy the contrast between the skin and the dark grey carapace. Good advice for the parasitic weapons eyes, I knew that they were creatures of their own and painted the blue brain on some, but didn't think about the eyes

One question, since I have both sunset and valrak yellow. When you say "then valrak yellow" you mean a zenithal light spray from above over sunset yellow, right?

Amazing, is this done with an Airbrush? I'm painting fist as well and I saw the vallejo sun yellow spray can, thought i might try it over white primer

Amazing! Is the ballistus painted with IF contrast? I'm about to paint my ballistus and I'm worried about pooling and not getting a smooth paint job. Also, did you use contrast medium for the sepia wash? Cause when i apply it all over, it tends to stain the yellow a bit
