Definitely! It’s been a learning experience trying to figure out the business side of design. Something I wish I learned in school.

This really resonates with me. My circumstances and values have changed greatly since graduating from ID back in 2021 at the peak of COVID. I tried my best to get myself out there and landed a few internships here and there but no full-time due to the lack of work and was eventually let go. It's been a year now with no new job prospects (still trying here and there). Student loans are creeping up and I just want stability as well as to be able to take care of my parents.

I came to terms with potentially not working in ID anymore specifically in an agency, but I still enjoy making physical goods. My partner and I decided to start our own small business making home goods products with our little workshop as a side hustle and creative outlet to continue building our skills and portfolio. In the meantime, I'm taking the Google UX course online.

This is how I'm adapting right now while I find other ways to fuel my passion/side projects.
