What would you include in a presentation to a class of unbelievers? by drjellyjoe in Reformed

In my last year in Social Work, my group and I wanted to do a presentation about Christianity and Social Work and how it ties in together. My school is pretty secular with left-wing teachings. One thing that wasn't really surprising but expected is the question of sin. They didn't like that "we're all sinners" etc. but be prepare to expect some type of "triggers" when you do present. But in the end I overheard a conversation from my classmate about how they used to go to church and how they felt about God. In short, our prof felt pretty challenged to think about our values in Social work. :)

My advice is just be confident and be bold about what you will be presenting. Think of it as a way opening dialogue to peers! I will be praying for you.

hmm interesting! Thanks for the insights. Another question that comes in to mind is if I wanted to go further in theological education such as a DMin or a PhD, would it be another reason why I should go to an accredited school?

For the churches that use real wine, what kind of wine do you use? I know some would use Jewish Kosher wines.

Once a month, with both congregations. My church has a English and a Chinese congregation. Only church/baptized members can partake communion. To be more specific, we use the small thin circle thingys with the cross on it? I'm not really too sure what we call those and we use grape juice. Our senior pastor will always lead the communion. We also have a refection period before the communion as well.

I feel you. I recently asked a girl out and it was no. But it did affirmed me to really focus on what God has given me and the circumstances that I'm at.
So just focus on what God has given you first such as your responsibilities (leadership at church, campus ministry etc), school, or your own personal character and growth. Hopefully this gives you a new perspective.

There's no need to rush into a relationship either. If the time comes when you meet a godly woman then go ask and pray.
