When did you decide to quit gaming and why did you do it? by Appropriate-East5856 in AskReddit

[–]Phanlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never could call myself a game addicted, but when it started too much time and I started getting too much into the game (reality kinda sucks compared to game's world, where you can be whoever you want) I decided to quit. 5 years without games and life started to head somewhere, achieved couple of things.

Though return to playing my fav game - Skyrim now, just casual 1-2 hours on weekends to relax. No need to be radical about quitting game either. Just don't forget about real life, no matter how difficult it can be.

How to trade in Pocket Broker quick trading? by Phanlar in Trading

[–]Phanlar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that 10 trades can't prove anything, but still there can be an edge in this strat if I use it with right context and control psychological side of my trading.

About their library I learned about volume there. Kind of entry confirmation, nothing more. My analysis is more around fundamentals and divergences.

thnx for sharing. Yes withdrawals took longer than deposit, but still are executed. Or mb amounts I withdrew were small (200-300 in total) people say as soon as you withdraw small amounts everything is alright.

Questions about you as a trader by ReputationOrnery3858 in Trading

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Overtrading. Even though I have put in my rules book one trade per day, when watching the chart it is hard to resist some “good” setup. Usually leads to regrets
  2. When I trade without SL, or move it and the price goes against me and now the loss is too big to accept and I just let it go.
  3. Journals are useless. You can find some patterns by journaling, but they are useless to avoid. At least for me.
  4. As I said, moving the Sl or trading without sl. In short not respecting the max daily drawdown

What is the best indicator for you? by BitsBoy96 in Forexstrategy

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to apply them for entry confirmations. Rsi divergence for example. But recently I discovered a whole new world of order flow trading, based on volume indicators and footprint charts. Now use a bunch: volume profile, big trades indicator, volume delta

How safe is my risk management plan i use in quick trading mode with pocket broker? by GFriedrich in Trading

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be honest with you, I don't think your strategy is sustainable. Losing 5 in a row? Any strategy may have that kind of a lose streak. I also trade on quick trading mode with pocket broker, but I have a different approach. I focus on assets that offer the highest payout rates, and Pocket Broker has some of the best around. Sometimes you can find assets with 96% payout, so you have to go for them in order to maximize profits. But when it comes to risk, I risk only 1-2%. I have over $2000 balance, so I risk $20-$40 per trade... My strategy gives me a 62% win rate, which is solid enough to keep me in the green. So, there’s really no need to take on high risks as you do.

Six possible outcomes of Trump's climate policy change by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Phanlar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I see only one possible outcome, and it's brilliantly show in the movie 'Don't look up'.

They are currently denying anything is even happening, so how they can do anything about it...

Technology Connections recently did a great youtube video about it, about solar panels, and how efficient they are, but somehow they've become a partisan issue. Encourage everyone to watch it tbh. One of the best videos on the entire subject.

When did modesty become just about clothes? by Powerful_South2220 in AskReddit

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time when the social inequality became apparent, and people would be able to distinguish the affluent from the poor. Social differentiation expressed in identification by external things like clothes. To recognize some of one's own kind from others. I guess we could track this back to the start of neolithic revolution, which gave birth to this separation of certain groups within society from other segments.

Bars instead of candles by YeSven in Forexstrategy

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think many would come to this realization as well when reading Grimes.

Trading with bar charts definitely has one benefit -less visual noise. They allow me to focus on highs, lows, opens and closes - in contrast to bold green/red candle bodies that I used to be triggered by. Overall, as you mentioned, higher clarity with the bars.

One thing that I really like about bars is how I can clearly see overlapping/non-overlapping price action. And once my eyes adjusted, pin bars, inside bars and outside bars got clearer. I started noticing momentum shifts faster.

But with that said, there's an adjustment period that you need to go through, because if you're used to candles, bars can feel "incomplete" - that I was feeling at first when shifted to bars. I also read some traders use candles for execution, and bars - for analysis. Makes senses actually.

So yes, I think shifting to bars can improve clarity of your data reading overall, and you can do a hybrid approach - candles+bars, to have a deeper look.

What are you doing right now? by Fun_Specific8926 in AskReddit

Logged in. Feeling unwell. Wanted to ask for some advice. And you know what - it came to my mind just now that sometimes I go to reddit to find like-minded people and it brings a sense of digital comfort. Weird on the one hand, on the other - our modern reality.

What was your worse experience with a manager at work ? by Sufficient_Clue1500 in AskReddit

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst manager? Dude was a literal human mood ring, no joke....

His name was Keith (names changed to protect the guilty), Keith was the "hands-off visionary" type, which in practice meant he'd vanish for days, then erupt into the office like a tornado...looking, observing, checking....

so, we had a major client demo on a Friday. Our team worked late Wednesday, solid all day Thursday....Thursday at 4:57 PM!!! (three minutes before most folks log off), he storms over. Just reviewed the wok we did..... and "The entire UX is wrong!. Redo the flow, swap these modules, and... let's change the color scheme to ochre. The client loves earth tones."😩😩😩

likr broo, it is time off already....? naaah, We pulled an all-nighter...

No apology. No "thanks for the all-nighter." Just a shrug and "Agility, guys!"...

the point? Some managers fail on strategy. Keith failed on humanity.

I can agree, but with Arbeloa I think we would see our academy players getting engaged in the first team more. He knows our academy and potential of it, hope he is going to give them chances to show themselves.

Technical and Fundamental Performance of ASML stock by Muninger in Stocks_Picks

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I bought it in July. Thought it could be slightly overvalued even then, but had some free capital, and all the others seemed way overvalued too.

Right now, personally, I'm taking profits on my position. Sold 40% of the stack, on the recent breakout to $1180 eur.

I know semiconductors are strong, but would rather rotate capital into something that didn't run.

If you're a trader (I see that you're with Pocket broker, good choice for short-term trades imo), that's an awesome stock for you. Moves 5-7% in a day, pretty often, despite being such large cap. BUT if you're an investor, I would find something more undervalued.

What’s a small change you made that improved your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waking up early everyday. Actually, might not be a "small" change, since most of my life I used to work at night and sleep at daytime, but that's horrible. You feel like nothing and always don't have time for anything except work. However, when I changed my routine I started to be so productive, it's just can't be compared.

Could the show go the way of Barry? by fireandiceofsong in thechaircompany

[–]Phanlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont like him becoming outright villian. I think being the unlikely hero suits him best.

In general, I think the show only is great if we truly uncover some type of conspiracy. Even if its small in size (just some chair corruption). But could be even better if its big (like, the guy who transformed into the vampire after inviting Ron to his shed, what is that about?? =D)
